Okay...time to make predictions about how long they will make episodes of LG15.
I think this is a tough one to predict, unless you know something I don't. In the Nightline interview in November, Greg said that they want the show to continue for as long as the fans want to watch it... If they stick to this plan, then by design, the show will end only when the viewership drops below some unspecified level. The story will not end until enough people stop watching. However, there are other considerations, the careers of the cast (particularly Jessica Rose) and the creators. There is the money. YouTube profit sharing will help that, but we don't know how much. I take them at their word that they are going to milk this for all it's worth. So, I will say even though the shark they jumped is a tiny dot in their rearview mirror, that they will keep this up another....
2 years.
Sound Crazy? It certainly makes me think about how long I personally will last watching it, But that is something that also has many unkown variables, and I refuse to try to predict it, and I don't expect you to either. Ok then, covesters and covites, What's your guess?

2 years isn't a bad guess, but kind of scary to think about them actually use the model of keep-on-doing-this-until-it-gets-so-bad-nobody-watches... no Seinfeld model here that's for sure. Who knows, and of course if Jess gets a job that doesn't fit well her ability to continue to film LG... well I guess they'll film a bunch right before and then will have her get kidnapped or something, seeing as it's such a reaccuring plot theme.

Interesting pool, to be sure Smashing.
Some clarification please. What if it gets a syndication deal with some cheesy cable network or they actually make a movie out of it!!!!
I ask because it can not possibly last 2 more years with out fading into obscurity or evolving in some way. Perhaps there is some possibility of a premier presentation from the producers but my god if two years pass and I am still pondering the plight of our pretty princess please pull the plug and provide me peace through my passing.

I'd love to see a real movie- but not straight-to-DVD. Just cause I think that'd be cool to see them on the big screen. A cheesy cable channel syndication would not be worth it, and they'd probably have to start over if they went that route (either of them in fact) since it's far too absurd now to be anything mainstream. They can't keep this series afloat for 2 more years as is, some evolution will have to be made if they intend to keep going that long.

OK: Here is my prediction:
It will NEVER end.
YEs, we'll still be watching lg15 episodes five years from now, complaining about stuff like "where did they upload this?" and "i think they jumped the shark when jonas' parents turned out to be merpeople, and the OutOfOrder kidnapped Owen and made a ransom video for him that totally spoofed Lonesome October."
The top posters at the phorum will have 100,000+ posts, paul&andrea will have their kids making videos, a presidential candidate will guest star an in episode in october 2008 ("i'm afraid of the order too bree!"), the t-shirt contest still won't be over, new fan interaction features will be "right around the corner", iris2009 will have his own sitcom on the CW (long after being outed by Anchor Cove sleuthers as canon), Bukanator LXVI will be assailed for finally locking the gaylien thread, invitations to Terry and Alissa's wedding will be coming out, Lazy Eye will reach 500 million views, and we'll still make jokes about the original phorum ("remember the original Cassie thread, that was hilarrious!").
OR
i give it about 6 months more, that's about it.

Oh my God the future according to milo, what a hilariously frightening notion.

Depends on if they get product sponsership. Last I heard, they were actively looking - does anyone know if they signed with a company?
If they don't get sponsership, LG is going to go lights out in 6 months or less.

I think the series will last until Jessica outgrows it... maybe if she lands a movie role and starts making serious money instead of the chump-change they're giving her. Without her the series is kaput. If I were a casting agent and took into consideration how high-profile she's become I would start sending her scripts right away.

I agree with Stan. This will last until the day Jess gets a real job and maybe a month longer as the Cs try to scramble to spin things around, which they will inevitably fail to do so.
I suspect there will still be some months of forum/fan activity though, as gradually some dirty laundry will get, wellm laundered. And that will be that then.
With the exposure the series has given the crew and cast, they should be able to land something, and maybe have even lined up as we speak.
I seriously doubt LG15 will be around in the summer.
or
I will be totally wrong, and we will watch LG15 - The Movie IV - Son of Thor in 2012.
EDIT:
Although, that being said, before it disappears it would so totally love to see a talented fan to do a MST3K tribute run through the entire span of the series.
OMG ... the one-liners this would spawn. Despite it's flaws and current bizarreness, I do think there's cool material there, and a nice tongue-in-cheek send-off would really make me smile.
