Is it fair to assume that in the Breeniverse, Bree is not the most subscribed channel on YouTube? She probably never got that much attention and has a more modest number of subscribers. After all, in her world, she never made international news.
In her world, the actress Jessica Rose, if she exists at all, never got the role of Bree (cause it's not a role). I think it would be fun if Jessica Rose existed in the Breeniverse and even met Bree using cheesy split-screen technology, even if it would confuse the heck out of some people.

true, smashing. she has acknowledged comments in her videos many times, but never the volume of comments or that it isn't real. she hasn't mentioned her move to revver either :-)

Good point. In the Breeniverse, she's not on Revver, only Youtube. That makes sense. Also, I believe in the Breeniverse, lonelygirl15.com was registered for Bree by Daniel but then never developed.

OOH. Despite how CRAZY this thread is, smashing, that's a difficult question. Bukanator had a whole persona - - he commented at least once on every early video, and defended Bree's honor a few times. He also said he was a 30-something computer programmer of Russian origin living in the San Fran area. In the Breeniverse, I think Buka is a real fan they interacted with.
Bukanator also posted comments when he started the fansite, and named a co-founder of the site (i forget the name at the time). When the early registration date came out, Daniel supported Buka's story that he took it over from daniel.
People often said there is no way daniel would have registered the site before bree started posting vblogs, but it always struck me as a possibility, though not likely. Daniel specifically posted comments about what it cost and how it was cheap (and he got .net and .org all for 1price) and he let Buka use the domain. I even thought it was possible that he did an anonymous registration to protect their privacy. Daniel is the computer geek.
Bree was 16 when she started posting vblogs, but i hypothesize that lonelygirl15 was a nick she picked up when she was 15 (for obvious reasons). So, registering lonelygirl15.com could be a real joke in that context -- bree, ha ha, you're a shut in, you're going to be famous, though!
So I think that in the Breeniverse, Buka did set up lonelygirl15.com, but it never got very popular. Hyemew posted, but few responded, and that's where it stays today.

Buka is still a character in the Breeniverse. He just goes by the name Admin now (not to be confused with The Creators), but all official e-mails sent by the new forum are from borisbukatar@yahoo.com. Buka, now called Admin, is meant to be treated as a different entity than The Creators. Admin is in character, he is Buka, he doesn't know anymore than any of the other posters and just wants to run a fan site - which is just what lonelygirl15.com still purports to be. The Creators, MMG, are more confusing, they do not exist in the Breeniverse but still post on a message board that does.
Actually with all the new characters being thrown in the past couple weeks: Cassie, Paul, Andrea, and Lucy, I sort of wish they would revive the old one of Buka more. Who doesn’t think a crazy Russian web designer wouldn’t be an interesting addiction to the mix. He could either start posting in character on his message board, or even more interestingly start posting some response videos of his own.
Is Buka really a member of the church and is keeping an eye on Bree? Is he with the FBI backing up Lucy, their undercover agent? Is he ex-KGB and will end up teaming up with Daniel to help break up the ceremony and save Bree? There is a gold mine here.

I think Admin is not Buka, but the Creators. Take for instance, this post by "Admin:" "Hey everyone! We just launched the first in an ongoing series of revisions to the website. It is now MUCH easier to navigate to the old videos. We switched from quicktime to Flash video so people should have less problems viewing the vids. A video summary and song credits are up. The most exciting change is that you can now upload video comments using Revver. This is the first in a series of steps we will be taking to enable fans to create their own charaters and storylines. When you upload your videos to Revver, they place an ad at the end. When people click on the ad you make money. Pretty cool, huh? This way we can all participate in the future of lonelygirl15. Coming soon... character/user profiles, the ability to create and "admin" storylines with characters you and your friends create, the LGPedia (a wiki), and MUCH MUCH MORE! Please give us your feedback in the "Suggestions" forum, we always want to hear how we can improve. Enjoy, and thanks for being a fan."
Note the use of the word "we," the acknowledgement of a (relatively) large fan base, and the references to characters, storylines, and the LGPedia, a realworld wiki with entries on the cast and crew. I believe that in the Breeniverse, it's quite possible that Buka is still running his fan site, but it is not the site that we now see at lonelygirl15.com. That site is run by the creators and only exists in the real world ever since the moment they posted the infamous "a message from the creators."
Although really, I never thought it was that believable that Daniel would hand over control of a website he registered for Bree to a strange Russian man wanting to make a fan site for a 16 year old girl he saw on the internet, especially since we see how protective Daniel is of Bree. I think it's more likely Buka was a fiction within a fiction, a character created by Daniel, Bree, or one of their friends. I also think I have given this point more thought than the creators themselves.

Daniel now has brought the messageboards into Breality in ep0046. Not any specific board, could be just youtube comments, but he mentioned people trying to figure out what she said to him about the "order of denderah". Then he quotes some fan research. So, the fact that there are people trying to figure out her religion is part of the Breeniverse now.
