I couldn't tell if they found the right place but I did notice that the water was very shallow in the "Cassie is watching" video. I wonder how long it's been since the bag was dropped in the water in the first place, because it could rot or wash away or some random hiker could have found it... Also, I did not notice the graffiti in the original video...

Yeah, pretty cool. It was only a matter of time though, the clues to the location were pretty elaborate.
I am putting my money on the Marines! Uhm, the marine Kemlite, for bringing us possibly better footage.
While I never expected them to find the bag, for obvious reasons of violating park regulations, I still think there are clues that might have been overlooked.
There seems to be graffiti or writing on the rocks surrounding the creek. Either this is new, or possibly those are Petroglyphs?

I can't tell if they are in the right place. Their video is not good and the water might be lower??? Who knows how long its been since the bag was dropped in the water. But the clues seem to tell us to go there and look. Here is a screencap of the location where the bag was dropped: It really doesn't look like those girls were in the right place. The rocks look so much different.

The only other thing I noticed was a circle of stones near the edge of the creek: I suppose they looked in there, but it is probably nothing. Because I still can't tell if they are in the right place.

turns out there's some guy on the other forum claiming he went and all sorts of stuff started happening to him once he got home...since no one saw him there and since no one had these similar things happen, looks like it is part of the plot.
and wow, if you read his posts, they're pretty frantic...he put on a link to this really weird and pssbly fake sound file...http://rapidshare.de/files/33201966/lies.mp3.html
now they're posting clues on rapidshare? SPONSORS GALORE$$$

turns out there's some guy on the other forum claiming he went and all sorts of stuff started happening to him once he got home... That poster is bogus. The story is obviously made up. The sound file also sounds fake. We had him here before, claiming to have one scoop or another, usually followed by a link to YT showing a Rubenberg Rube Goldberg machine.

ha! that's what someone said over there! but couldn't those machines be clues? i mean, look at the way this whole thing works like a rube goldberg (i thind thats the phrase you're looking for) machine?
and also, i mean, aren't the creators using what they see on forums anyway...and HEY, what if that was a creater on that forum doing some creepy crud? i wouldn't put it past them!
and wait! aren't all the files fake? i mean, none of us would think that the voice on cassie's vid isn't touched up, right?

IMO cassie was pretty creepy. OTOH lopez's mp3 sounded like a slightly pitched up boys voice, kind of a munchkin effect... plus his whole story was pretty clumsy. piled on too many goofy details too quickly. pacing, people, it's about pacing...

That he'd just been to the site with his dad, and they'd found a fascinating clue (which, despite his many breathless posts, he was never quite able to divulge). Then when he got home he got a series of creepy calls, then one of his computers was hacked and taken over and a bunch of files appeared on the desktop, but he was somehow able to then upload the files. I expected it'd just say something like "suckers!" but it was the silly munchkin instead. You can follow the saga starting here: www.lonelygirl15.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=349&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=480It all starts near the bottom. Kinda entertaining but not terribly useful. EDIT: the whole scary phone call idea starts a ways back in the same thread. yawn.

sounds like maybe the work of that marine guy who said he was going out...remember how he was all weird about giving that "clue" we all had access to anyway? i noticed he began posting here and over there for the first time last night. and now this? maybe part of his concerted hoax to be part of it all...i was suspicious about him
