I don't understand why the moderators on this board are now the mods on the new phorum too.
This will dilute the quality of both as there are only so many hours in the day and just seems like time wasted in duplicating everything.
Not to mention the mystery behind buka and his possible involvement in all this.
Could the moderators please address why you decided to also moderate the other forum and my concerns.
Thank you

I thought I explained it all in THIS thread. Did you read it all? Basically, I wanted to see if I could get a little closer to the "Buka" mystery. Of course, that's not the case, and all he wanted me for is to bring you guys back over and to design his new forums *eyeroll* so I might resign-- or I might not, depending on what I can get him to talk to me about. When he asked me to design his forum I basically told him that I would if he gave me his website, and he said he'd do it himself. I wanted to see what sort of capabilities and freedoms of information he'd give me as a Moderator of his forum. I don't plan on duplicating, and I plan on keeping and expanding this board. The other board means nothing to me, but I do realize some people want to keep playing on Buka's 'board' so to speak, and if I can be there to get the crap out of the way for them when they need it, then I'll do what I can. It's NOT hard to moderate two boards. I moderate three. Any questions?

Looking further into the Miles Beckett/Shout Boy connection...
The web designer for Shoutboy is Casey Klebba (www.caseyk.com), whose work is licensed under a Creative Commons License!
Does this lead us anywhere? He has a ton of photos on his page and a skimmed a few but didn't find anything noteworthy.

Yes, i read the thread. I just think your reasoning is flawed. I don't see how you think you can get him to confide in you when you have publicly stated that intention.
Also, so "what sort of capabilities and freedoms of information" has he given you?

Basically the only thing I can do on that forum is delete posts, move them, and make stickies/announcements.
Buka isn't stupid, there's no reason for him to think that the reason I accepted his invitation ISN'T any of the reasons I stated on this thread, even if he hasn't read them, which I know he has.
It was a decision I made on the spur of the moment, and when I saw the measly little thing he put up, I laughed and threw the towel in.

I think i read somewhere that "creative commons license" did the music for a movie that brian flemming made and also the music in 1 or 2 of bree's vblogs?? sorry for going off topic, just wondering where this puts us all now?? also i think we should stay on this from. i hated the old forums too messy and we cant have buka moderating all our stuff. this is definitly the place to be. And Buka has been her, as he told Hye he couldn't be a moderator because he was not a moderator on MY forum. Actually, he said "are you a moderator at alissa's? If so you can be one at mine." So that is him denying he's been here in a way, but there's no way to know if that's true.

True... but at the same time, at first he told Terry he could be one because of his video-- but then why would he mention MY forum when you asked, if he didn't know that Terry was one? Remember, this forum did not used to be login-only. He could have seen the board before I made it so.

My experience at lonelygirl15.com was frustrating at times, but pleasant nonetheless.
Bukanator did try to keep the level of discussion civil, and I admire him for that. He allowed everyone to post anything as long as it didn't veer into nasty. For proof, just look at the YouTube comments and compare.
He even allowed this forum to post and recruit on his forum.
Thanks for setting this forum up Alissa (and others for moderating). I came here because my favorite posters (smart, literate, and nice) came here, not to bash Bukanator and others.
That's nasty,
FLWright

It's NOT hard to moderate two boards. I moderate three. I realize that, but the entire purpose of us being here is that we're independent and not tied into the lg15.com stuff. The fact that you're now affiliated with them compromises your credibility as someone who's not a confederate. I'm not saying you are, I'm saying that on the whole it coats this forum with the taint of the "official" site.

Okay, I know I said this somewhere else, obviously not in this post, but I will repeat myself: I was under the impression that the main reason we LEFT the site in the first place is because Buka wouldn't moderate or organize it, and he was generally being a bad admin. So, I took it upon myself to moderate and organize. I don't think it really had anything to do with his turf, our turf-- In fact, some people want to play on both 'turfs' if you will! I thought that the ability to keep them both free of crap would have been a help to the community. When we left, Buka PMd me asking to be a moderator, and I accepted, to see what sorts of 'power' he would give me ((I had IP logging on that board too, you know, which would have been useful to us if you all hadn't guilted me into resigning)) As for THIS message board, it is in NO WAY "official" site, as I am in on the chase too and have NO clue who Bree is. Really, now, this conversation is just becoming TOO tiring. I'm not a Mod there anymore. It's over. The end.

Hey - anyone else get booted from the new old forum? My ID is now inactive whereas it worked just yesterday. Methinks someone is angry? I'll go see if my IP address is blocked, too.
EDIT: IP address not blocked, though I think my ISP does DHCP so it's slightly different each time. Or something. I'm not so good with the 'puters.
