kindof what i was thinking, they thought ahead to a certain extent but maybe didn't think that a serious spinoff forum would be created?
but i know that i keep checking back there and so do others so they are bound to get the message to us somehow...could it be something about us needing to actually be active in the forum? i guess having us on their teritory would guarantee that they are instantly aware of things we might have discovered/thought of, especially the way that it is arranged now, latest findings and updates (if created in a new thread) are right there on top and even conveniently labeled for quick finding...also might explain why the search function doesn't work...people are more likely to start a new post instead of trying to find past threads that are pertinent...therefore more likely for the breaking news to be the first thread rather than potentially buried in this format (although much more accessible here, just not potentially so obviously so)...whew, brain racing again. must step away from the computer.

I definitely think it is a control thing and they very much want to control the message as facts (and red herrings) are ascertained .
Could also just be an issue that they have limited manpower to monitor web forums. I still see this as a very limited production in terms of the num of folks involved... Mo folks = mo potential for leaks!

Not that I think anyone is going back, but we have more of a potential to break them down if they have to maintain watch over both forums.
At some point they will slip up!
lol.

You're joking, right? I really, really don't want to go back to playing this on their field.

'Lissa: please don't go back. This is working. We're getting them on our turf. Even though we are diverging rather than converging, we are eliminating more chances of misdirection by them.
I was one of first follow your battle cry "Let's jump ship and see if they follow!" They have.

No, you guys don't understand what I'm saying.
You don't think I'm not capable of moderating two forums? *grins* I wouldn't abandon my own brainchild.
Catch more flies with honey.

Can I ask how they approached you? Would you be willing to share the message you got? I'm more curious than anything, you've done an awesome job of moderating here, so I can sort of see why they would ask for your help.
And I've only been a member of this board for all of 1 day now, so i don't feel like it's my place to suggest a course of action. But in the month or so that I've been following the LG15 thing, my biggest frustration has been with who to trust. I was so relieved when I found this message board and a group of people who are all on the same side of this.
If you moderate the "official" board you'd be in a weird in-between place.

It would be a weird inbetween place... but it'd be a fuck as fuck weird inbetween place! johnny, as I don't know you very well, I'm not inclined to share too much with you yet.

i'm with you...but others seem to disagree...so what are the negatives?
1) time away from this site?
2) potential that you could be brought into the official LG15 loop and then you start controling this site like they are controlling the other one?

But what if they 'flip' Alissa? (if she's not already gone over to the dark side) Making her an insider suddenly controls the 'front' and 'the rebellion'.
