I think ya'll might just be considered . . ."tip of the wedge" It goes along with the theory of this being a community influenced project.

I have been following my thought that maybe CAA was hacking LG15 and that's what you witnessed when tracking her IP. (thought was posted on the LAT thread). If CAA was using a program like NetPenguin www.netpenguin.net/Help/function/Packet%20Sniffer.htm . Wouldn't this show up as part of the IP routing? (I am learning this as I go so please enlighten me).

Uh... I wouldn't know because I wasn't tracking them I don't know anything about IP tracking except for when I get one I can go to iplocator.com and sorta figure out where someone is generally from. :\ Sorry!

I have a really good friend, named Catherine, who goes by the name Cassy. So when I looked at the 42 Entertainment site - I immediately wondered if there is a connection to Cathy's Book the game that is supposed to start IN OCTOBER?!!!
Okay, so I am grasping for straws. But the 42 Entertainment site was velly interestink!

From the website:
The cross-platform storytelling of Cathy’s Book, to be published in October of 2006, has generated tremendous pre-release enthusiasm for the title, including coverage in Publishers Weekly and the New York Times, leading to pre-release orders of more than 100,000 hardcovers.

I think the 42 Entertainment angle has been discussed before. I highly doubt it is them, because they are actually very experienced in the ARG genre. You could argue if they didn't invent it, they certainly turned it into a monetised marketing vehicle. There's plenty of background on them in ARG Wiki article: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alternate_reality_gameYou might especially want to read up on The Beast (AI movie promotion) and I love Bees (Halo promotion). Weismann et. al. would never post such a blundering press release as we have seen just now (if it is for real). They understand that a true reality hack operates on all media, especially the web. They wouldn't call themselves filmmakers either. But most of all, they would never break the fourth wall, i.e. make statements about the experience as if it was staged. It will be really interesting to see how Cathy's Book will pan out, one thing is for certain though, it will seperate a lot of teenagers from their pocket money
