Wow, that was done when they moved to Revver. Couple things I found annoying, especially because I am writing another article about IMS as a business is that they wouldn't disclose any parts of their deal with Revver. They said they were not ready to discuss any financials. Miles Beckett Miles Beckett 2 (caption!) Greg Goodfried

i don't know when the interview was done, but forbes posted it at youtube last week.
jess' salary is "confidential". har har. the interviewer seemed to think they were being paid on an ad-impression basis, but revver is actually a click-to-pay model as greg described. i'm sure they didn't disclose the finances because they haven't made real money on it yet.

In the interview, the interviewer said, so you moved to Revver about a week ago ....
Not saying she was incorrect, but I'm assuming the interview was done shortly after the "reveal"

It lacks the mysterious Mesh! He always lurks in the shadows, never really gets to be the face of LG15. Though he is in some of buka's pictures though! I don't believe that Miles actually is at the forums all that often, not as much as he claims. Yousefgate is just one example of how the admins are pretty slow to react. I totally understand the reasons, being so busy with doing this and all it's very hard to be there all the time, but since that's the case- admit it!

These guys are as bad as politicians when it comes to giving straight answers. And the interviewer is ill-informed. An honest interview would go like this:
Q: Why did you decide to disclose her identity at all? A: We didn't. People figured it out using myspace and google. Q: But you did disclose that the show was fictional on your website? A: Yes, we got scared that in the search to uncover us, people would invade our privacy. We hoped that by admitting it was fictional, it would take away their motivation. Shortly thereafter, they found out who we were anyway and then we started doing press. Q: People assume things on YouTube are real unless they're identified as an ad-- A: Lonelygirl isn't an ad. Q: Right, well, but it's been a very successful marketing tool, right? A: That's a misconception. It's not selling anything but itself, and we haven't made a profit. Q: So even with all this attention, you aren't making a profit? A: No. Q: But I heard you got $5 for every thousand people who watch a video? A: Nope. That would be nice. But no. Q: So, are you trying to get a TV or movie deal? A: We'd prefer a deal making more internet video, cause that's what we do, but yes, we'd like anything to pay the bills. Q: At least it's not that expensive, though right? I mean, the webcam only cost $130. A: Actually....we're going broke. Miles has med-school loans and he just quit his job. Q: Oh...have you quit your job, Greg? A: HA! good one. No, no. I'm not crazy. Q: I see. Well, to get back to my previous canned question, do you think that the outing of lonelygirl will make people more suspicious of YouTube videos in the future? A: Of course. It already has. There are even people convinced that Renetto is an actor. Q: Who? A: Nevermind, it's not that important. Q: Why should people keep watching now that this has been revealed to be a part of a larger plan of creating a "wiki-television." A: Thank you for the leading question to give me an opening to talk about how interactive the show is, but honestly, the interactive aspect is bit overblown. We read the comments and forums for a sense of fan reaction. Sort of like a focus group session for each episode. Fans have made fan-fiction videos, but those haven't affected our story. As for why people should keep watching, like any show, we hope they find it entertaining! Q: So you recently switched from YouTube to Revver... A: Not really. We're on both. Q: But it started on YouTube? A: Right, cause YouTube's more popular and it fit with our hoax. Later we added them to Revver to try to make what money we can from it. Q: Are you two going to be in the videos? A: You've never watched the show, have you? Q: You're right. Looks like Lonelygirl isn't so lonely after all. Thanks guys. A: Thank you.
