It sounds as though Joan might be coming closer to understanding his confused sexual preferences and love interests.
How - I thought - could he have so deftly seduced Bree when his real love was in the same house? It was cause for reconsideration but this video provides a seed for further understanding.
Abandoned by both mother and father at an early age, his fist target of anger is his father. A catharsis that takes lace while he performs a typical father /son ritual of washing the car, yet holds the hose in a commanding way with a death grip just at waist level. Then as a finally, he grabs fruit (clearly a metaphor for his genitalia) and screams "Remember Dad? Remember how we played with these?"
Joan is not done; not by a long shot. It appears is actually at the very beginning of an important journey.
Now I see Daniel has something to say....let's see what secrets are revealed....
