No deniability here. Alex is going away. She's running I suppose. Insert ranting criticism here.

Wow, I definitely think they've turned a drama which reached extremely serious proportions by their hand (even though it really should have been) into something of extreme faux-serious proportions. Is it just me or did they take this death-and-destruction depressed-fest and turned it into a self-aware making-fun-of-itself-for-your-enjoyment kind of thing? First we had the mission, now this.
I mean... do you thing the guy in the black shirt is a security guard? You know, in case the letters on his shirt the size of the Hollywood sign didn't make it clear. What is this blubbering to a total stranger all about? And why? Meanwhile Sarah's obvious 'oh.. that's awful..' faux-seriousness shows she's not even trying to be a siren and in all likelihood woudda/shoudda been kicked off the premices. Neutrogena even has security guards? I bet they all have good hair at least. Now check out Taylor's super-serious all-black tight codecracker dress complete with headset. It's seriously right out of a movie. Except this is no movie, once again it really looks like they are trying to make fun of the very serious situation they created by making fun of how serious it got. Security guard emotionally compromised? Did he go up to Sarah crying? How did she actually have to do anything? Did that make any sense? No, because once again they were making fun of themselves. Ski mask insanity? Yeah, there's no way they aren't making fun of the serious genre there, or this whole situation. Jonas was really able to get his rope up there and around the pole so seemlessly?
After watching this, if their motivation when making it was 'we realize our own ridiculous and finally see how deeply we dug this absurd serious-fest that we're just going to laugh at ourselves all the way out.' If it was anything else than that then...

Hyemew,
I think you are right it has been turned into a comedy/spoof, but that is a problem because it just isn't funny as a comedy, personally I found it much more hilarious when it was passing itself off as a serious drama, the scene with tied up Jules screaming and kicking the glass door while Daniel calmly blogs about how bad he feels about it, for example. In the least, the commentary here at the Cove was funnier then.
As Terry pointed out when it was "drama", if we viewed it as a comedy it was hilarious. Now that it has become a "comedy" we can't turn that around and view it as a drama, that doesn't work.
