lol, I'd wager that Piltdown Man, the Tasaday, and the War of the Worlds radio broadcast all qualify as more signficant hoaxes than LG15 could ever have hoped to be. But you are right, this one was our hoax, so that makes it special and unprecedented.
(Piltdown Man -- a hoaxed early-man fossil found in 1912 in England, not revealed to be a hoax until 1953
the Tasaday -- a tiny Philippine discovered in 1971(2?) and promoted as the last remaining untouched Stone Age people, claimed in 1986 to be a total hoax of farmers invented so that Marcos could designate a section of rainforest as protected land and log it undetected, still later declared to be not quite so much of a hoax as all that, but never Stone Age -- issue still unresolved
War of the Worlds -- you know!)

ok..well..something of a shit-storm roiled up in here and that was definately not my intention... I thought the point of all this was to have a little fun. Beleive me, my life is filled with enough seriousness, broken promises, missed goals and dissapointments. I don't have to look far for that crap. Now solving the the mysteries, broken promises, and missed goals of 2 dimensional characters is fun.. It reallty doesn't matter if Daniel goes to college or if Bree's parents ever return. It doesn't matter if "the creators" (hate that term) create the first Pulitzer Prize for On-Line video fiction and it don't matter if my grammar sux and my spelling is bad For those of you who were here "early' be grateful you had the chance to be there. If you can't stand what it is now, then I suggest you do the same thing everyone tells everyone on YouTube...don't watch. It really doesn't matter how much time you have spent here, how close you have become to people (or virtual people) you have met here. You don't own LG15. Unless there is something truely secret going on here let's face the facts that - You didn't invent it,
- You didn't pay for it
- It aint your Credit Card that's being used and
- It is not your acting carreer that is at stake here
I really hate to see people whose opinions and observations have meant a lot to me bail out at such a rate. It's really sad, but I can see how they feel. It used to be a "happy place" as far as I can tell from archived material and now it's full of blame, criticism and dissapointment Where does a guy like me go!? LG15 Phorum is full of..well you know...maybe Joss was right when he said it has become a "tween opera" and then asked why the hell was he watching it. My 20 year old son thinks it's "Gay" - to quote the vernacular. Maybe he is right. Should I stop watching/reading/contributing from my work PC in case the SysAdmin flags me for suspicious activity? Ok well anyway...I thought it was kind of cool that the bricks looked alike and the apartment bldg looked familiar..I guess I'm a dork after all

I completely agree with you. Don't really know what went on today, but I sense it was something not so nice...
I think we have lost our way as the CHILDREN of Anchor Cove. As a parent, I marvel at the innocence and fun of being a child. I found a lot of that here with you fine folks, and I fear we may have lost our way.
I am probably one of the most guilty of posting nothing but snark and sarcasm indeed. Guilty as charged! Probably one of the worst offenders...
I think it would be too easy just to blame all of this on the "quality that binds". We are the community, we don't have to reflect in ourselves that "quality", in fact we ought to be "children" enough to transcend it.
No need to respond, just think about what WE have CREATED here and where we are now. Off to bed early tonight, hard day at the Zen Factory.

It is cool the buildings were similar. I wish everyone looked at the details of the wonderful world all about us as closely as you! And now for something completely different...How lucky we are to have seen Sonny Jurgensen toss the pill to Charley Taylor! Happy Birthday, Child of Anchor Cove, we are all dorks here. FLWright PS Noa, you are terryfic, err terrific! We may not have created Lonelygirl15, but we did create this unique little community. It remains something to be proud of, warts and all!
