Sup.
I'm another New Yorker, a web editor. (This thing seems to have sucked in a lot of journos, eh?) The screeny is Latin for "lightly roasted sparrow," and it indicates my reaction to LG15: The little bird has been cooked up, but not very well-done.

Hi tempestarii,
Camden is great - especially the market - i could spend hours there and serious amounts of money. Its great that there are peopel from all over on here. Initially when i read the other board it appeared that most people were fom the US as the story seems to be bigger there. Nobody i have spoken to has even heard of her over here.

I have tried to explain the sheer need to unravel this plot to people over in our currently raining country and I am met with blank stares. Camden is divine *beams* I can don my corset and big boots and argue with market sellers all day long there. The last time I 'adopted' an 18 year old punk I fell in love with and spent many a moment stroking his rainbow mohawk. My boyfriend found it hysterical that I was so fixated. I have a friend due to play in the Caenarvon (sp?) Castle soon so I will mooch back on that ungodly tube system of yours again. It seems everytime I get my pass stuck in the machines and hold up 200 irate foreign students Oy! Small world.

Another NYer here, also 23 and slightly alcoholic. Currently a caddy, soon a bartender, still a part-time student. I love a good mystery, and am oddly fixated to pop-culture and social phenomena. I don't know what ya'll need for verification, people seem to be using myspace, so I'll post that. I was a lurker on the old boards, and probably will only lurk here, but my obsession with who/what lonelygirl15 is seems to grow each day, so who knows... myspace: myspace.com/nickfarrell

Hi All -
My name is Stephanie - I am a 36 year old female living in Chicago. I am in marketing for one of the big food companies and I am fascinated by this phenomenon - but on a personal level (although curious to see if this is a grassroots/viral marketing ploy for something/someone).
I was looking for that "Evolution of Dance" video and I stumbled on LG15. End of June, I think. Thought the videos were cute - didn't think too much of it - checked back every now and then.
I grew up in a small city but was fortunate enough to have friends that belonged to varied religions - Mormons, Seventh Day Adventist, Judiasm, etc. I went to camp in Tennessee and we regularly interacted with the Mennonites and Amish communities there. I was saddened, for some reason, by the exclusionary nature of religion.
I studied Anthropology in college and became hooked on understanding how one's culture - which is often defined to a large degree by one's religion - impacts his/her view of the world. In my mid-twenties I read, purely by accident, a little book called "The Moon Under Her Feet" - the story of Mary Magdalene (Dan Brown got it wrong). As I researched my family's Scottish roots, I find myself more and more fascinated by the Picts and Druids and what might be considered pagan traditions. So, when I fell upon the postings about Aleister Crowley - had never heard of him or Thelema - I was hooked.
Anyway, at this point, curious to see how it plays out (although, admittedly, yesterday I was damn near apoplectic with the latest video posting) but more interested in the sociological outcome of all of this.
Looking forward to meeting all of you here!
And btw - Bailey is one of our menagerie of dogs and cats. No human kids - which is why I have time to obsess about this phenomenon.

Hi there, everyone! Intrigued2 here, from the Lonelygirl15.com Phorum. I'm a 42 year-old divorced mother of two (21 year-old daughter, 16 year-old son). I am a Business Systems Analyst for an energy company. I grew up in Washington state (most of the time in Redmond, sunbean ;-), but I've lived in the Portland, OR area for over 20 years - man, that makes me sound old...! I really do have a life. This is the first forum that I've ever belonged to, as my poor posting/editing skills have proven (thank you all for your patience). I just stumbled upon Bree's video when I visited YouTube for the first time a few weeks ago. I found her video "What Did Daniel and My Dad Talk About" to be so adorable (though the candle thing kind of weirded me out - this was BEFORE we realized that the picture above it was Aleister Crowley!!) that it had me coming back to check up on her a few days later. That was it - I was hooked. To be honest, I can't remember how I learned about the Phorum -I think I may have found it via a Google search? Anyway, I lurked on the Phorum for a couple of weeks, and then decided to join-in on the fun a few days ago. To be honest, I had never even heard of Aleister Crowley before going on the LG15 Phorum. Hmmm, not sure if that's a good thing or a BAD thing...? I don't have a website, or a myspace (though both of my kids do) so I have no way of proving who I am, but I hope you will all believe that I am who I say I am (Alissa/Ana, you can vouch for my IP address, right?). I'm having a BLAST trying to figure out the mystery that is "Bree" and I look forward to enjoying the journey with you all. Trigue (intrigued2)

odd why can't i access this? anybody else try? I tried too. The whole site seems to be unavailable. I tried and i can access it ok. Here is what it says (I tried to do a screen grab but for some reason it didnt work) there are a few photos too. UNO Religious Studies Program ASH Suite 205 Omaha, NE 68182-0265 Phone: 402.554.2628 Fax: 402.554.3296
Christian Haunton is an Omaha native who earned his B.S. in Criminal Justice at UNO (1998) and his M.A. in Religious Studies at the University of Iowa (2006).
Christian's areas of academic interest include religion in the ancient and classical Mediterranean world, archaeological investigation of religion, and issues of definition and interpretation in the study of religion. Christian has participated in two seasons of excavation in Israel with the Bethsaida Project. He has presented his work on material religious culture in the ancient world at conferences throughout the United States, and looks forward to publishing his work on the patera in religious iconography.
When not picking the bones of history and culture, Christian enjoys letterboxing, bookmaking, metal detecting, and of course, movies. Christian has also been a professional actor, a prize-winning horror writer, and a cover photographer for the "swimsuit issue" of Biblical Archaeology Review...but those are stories for another time.

Hiya all, I'm posting my "introduction" in the *grins* area because I doubt I can contribute to the theories...or at least contribute enough to become an interesting 'player' that others 'at large' would want to know about (i.e. creating my own thready-thingy). I think it's important for the moderators [holy crap you guys are great!] to 'know' who is watching the board, so at least I can give basics for those who are watching who are watching (anyone needs something searchable, just pm me, although I'm not quite sure how that works).
THE FACTS AND OTHER GENERAL INFORMATION (beginning with "I"): 1) I am a 32 yr old female. 2) I'm originally from Texas, then moved to Virginia to get a masters in Shakespeare, now in LA haunting a friend's apartment. 3) I received that masters with a concentration in directing spring '05 4) I spent the last year 'on the road' barely managing a troupe of actors. 5) I'm blissfully unemployed and plan to stay that way until my last dime is spent and then only until I get really hungry . 6) I posted several extremely UNHELPFUL remarks back on 'the forum that must not be named' as ceemarque then decided I was adding to the crap, so I just became a lurker. Now I generally lurk over here. 7) I changed my 'name' to wednesday in honor of/because I just adopted the sweetest little dog that I'm calling Wednesday (because she was so scared and shakey and 'full of woe' when I first saw her).
Thanks ya'll and thanks for the ride.
Edit: BTW this is a freaking AMAZING forum, fantastically organized. Thanks Alissa.

Hi everyone! I am a 34 year old brazilian guy who is about to loose his job... I just learned about the Lonelygirl15 thing about a week ago.
I must confess that when I found the old foruns about it I couldn't help thinking: Is this a waste of time or what ? Don't these people have anything better to do ? Well, a week later and here I am trying to learn more about this mistery...
Bottomline is threefold:
1 - Sorry I probably won't have much to add to help you. 2 - There is no way to confirm who I am, but, who would bother with that anyways? 3 - Fake or not, I am in love with that girl. I'd be realy glad if my future daughter turns out to be just like that!
