While I was working on the LG Recap videos I came across a couple new sites\tools which made my life a whole lot easier. First I finally tried out Adobe After Effects, it is a great little tool if you want to make your videos look all fancy with special effects and such. If your goal is to look like an OpAphid vid I recommend checking out After Effects. Once again I have to recommend VirtualDub for compressing video and audio. It is free, and by far the best compressor I have ever come across. I also came across this site vixy.net/flv_converter which I use to download from YouTube and convert into .AVIs all in one. The quality is great. The only downside is it can have some issues if YouTube is running a little slow (so pretty much all the time ) I used a sound FX from this site freesound.iua.upf.edu/ it is sort of like ccmixer (which is where I grabbed the song in my video) but for sound FXs. If you are looking for that extra something to make your video over the top I recommend digging around here. They have some really well done free Sounds. Bonus Tip: I only just learnt that if you are having audio sync problems on YT then an easy way to fix it is to change your audio to MP3. If you are following my advice and are using VirtualDub for your compressing then it can do it for you, you just need to download a MP3 codex. I've always found LAME works well, but some people have issues with it.
