Who is Maddison Atkins?A new Bree?

Just Gleaned this from trawling through the comments boards on the "DARK"side,My God it was hard going over there but I made it back with only minor concussion and some slight emotional scarring

It definitely makes for interesting reading/watching,The speculation is that we have a new LG15/ARG type thingy,Particularly if you look at her youtube profile,

Very reminiscent of early NikkiB posts,(lets have a debate on pigeons being used by the Order ) or are we getting a glimpse of a new replacement for Jess when she is no longer part of the project,

I think this might warrant some looking into,and could maybe bring us back to the heady days of early LG15,I guess we will have to wait until Apr 25 to find out

Have you guys noticed the video from Maddison Atkins? It’s called “what happened today part 1″. It seems to me that we soon see 2 new scoobies with Bree, Daniel and Jonas. I strongly think she and the guy with her in the vid are the new players in the LG15 story!!

She has a Youtube account and a My space and the only thing she talks about on those is LG15 and about strange things that happened to her lately. Why is she in Texas? I am quite sure that despite all the traveling, Bree und friends will not be going there. I only saw the second half... it was quite... slow. It's definitely not made in the Creators style, and seeing as it is allegedly filmed half a country away, they are most likely totally independent. Also so far the story is very week, she happens to go get changed in a building which happens to have a pigeon- notoriously uncatcheable bird- sitting outside. While she's changing her annoying friend just so happens to decide to catch it- actually does- and then notices it has a code on it. The reporter is shocked to see her name on it- though in my opinion not shocked enough- and then begs us to log into her e-mail account for "tidbits". It all really doesn't add it to me- I thought they were the one being offered a hint- why is the immediate result of that them having a clue for us? They certainly aren't average fans, they have equiptment and some skill, but there's no reason at all to think this is canon.
(I've never even heard of phorum user bianca23- wonder if it's a puppet from the maddison people... probably is seeing as she's so convinced these people are canon without any good reason to think so.)

EDIT: Bianca23 has one post- made yesterday- so yeah that's a definite puppet. They say they are from the Netherlands... but based on their IP they ACTUALLY ARE. Hmm interesting twist. Perhaps they actually do think that- or Maddison is actually from the Netherlands!

Maddison Atkins is a typical 19 yr old college student living in Nacogdoches, TX. She and her friend Adam were making a reporter-style video about the azaelas in TX. Maddison returns home to change and finds a pigeon with a note attached to its leg at her front door. She removes the note from the bird. On one side there is an email account that had been created for her and it says she will know the password. On the other side, there is morse code. Maddison turns to the phorum for help with morse code. The phorumites quickly decode the morse into hex code, which is then decoded into "tag bows" - which anagrams to TWO BAGS. Meanwhile, Maddison logs into the yahoo account that was set up for her and finds a letter from Mr. Zipp, a worried parent that has enlisted her help to find his only child. He gives her a deadline of 15 days. Mr. Zipp also set up her YT, Revver, and MySpace accounts for her. He instructs her to seek help (presumably at the phorum) and to 'immerse herself' in the lg15 world. Players were stuck on TWO BAGS, but last night Maddison came into the chat and told us that Whisky the dog chewed the note a bit, revealing that there was another note inside. This note contained a riddle: "In an Apple - in a Ruby - Under Your Elbows - Near the Wall - 11 (B) 12 - Hurry" Players figured out that this meant there is a drop in a bar/restaurant in NYC called the Rue B on Avenue B between 11th and 12th streets. The drop will be retrieved this afternoon.

I like the Maddison Atkins story. The videos are well-done and the puzzles so far have been decent. however, I don't think it's canon, just fan-fic. i'm glad that the ARG kids (including myself) have something to work on in the absence of opaphid. i think maddison mentioned that opaphid is a psychic vampire.... j/k

Oh no I see there's quite a few threads commenting on Maddison, this is nothing suddenly dropping out of the sky but has been around the past few days. So it wasn't just bianca posting about it out of nowhere- which would have led me to believe she is in on it.

I've watched more videos and it makes me think-- the Creators were just talking about increasing fan interaction and ways to bring the community in. One of the quotes in the videos literally stated how Maddison will need the community's help to figure the puzzles out, etc. This is not the first time the Creators have not so subtley brought something about which they had talked about wanting to have more of, so this is possible. I often find it hard to believe that anyone has the time and talent to just fanfic something like that- though it's possible. This just seems to play so closely into what the Creators want at a time so close to when the Creators want it that it certainly makes one wonder.

I saw some of the phorum chatter on this and looked at the vids yesterday. I thought the vids were fairly well produced, but I don't think they were shot by M&M. Maybe Phanphic, but they are pretty slick for this. Not as obviously "Miles", in the editing style, as Gemma's or Joan's were though. It would not surprise me if M&M have enlisted some other people to set this up. Perhaps this all fits in with the retcon and tying up of loose ends....

LG Franchise. Hmmmm.

Come on Hye! I know you love abusing peoples work, but a pigeon sitting outside a building is hardly unusual!

AND if someone put the bird there, and it somehow knew it had to stay there, then it wouldn't be that difficult to catch it. It might be trained!

I resent that reputation. I was not abusing it for the hell of it. If you were trying to get in touch with a person secretly, what are the odds the number 1 method you used would be to leave a pigeon outside someone's door while they weren't looking, training it to never move or fly away despite the fact normally getting within 10 feet of a pigeon will automatically cause them to flee, then presume that the girl's friend will suddenly feel the need to catch that particular bird (how many people have you seen who have decided to randomly catch a pigeon- and successfully do it?), and then notice there was a note on the bird, etc?

It is kind of creative and I suppose they deserve credit for that, but it registers fairly close to absolute zero on the realism spectrum.

People train pegions all the time. You seem to have forgotten about homing pigeons...Pigeons have been are probably still areus ed to takes messages to people so this isn't at all unbelievable.

Perhaps the only bit that is a but unusual is that matey caught it, but why does that matter? Once he caught it, it was fairly easy to see something tied around its leg. I think it would be safe to assume that anything tied around a birds leg was done by a human, even if it is just a bandage, taking it off out of curiosity seems plausible.

I think on this occasion your argument is floored, perhaps you don't want to like Maddy, and you are making reason up, so you don't have to like it.

The drop was an envelope that had writing on it which was crossed out with a black sharpie. the writing is believed to say:

"for a bottle of wine
from your favorite
winery
(or whatever else tickles your fancy)"

inside the envelope was a scan from a dr. seuss book (two pages scanned on 1 piece of paper). one page has the original artwork and the opposite page has a drawing of a stick figure and a car. At the bottom of the page, there was faint guitar tabulature. Skunkwaffle and deagol figured out that the guitar tab stood for letters and decoded the following message from it:

"Is this thing on check one"

I reject both your assertions above, but will cease from further debate as it is pointless.
(But your explanation about it being a homing pigeon is nonsense, as you cannot program a bird to show up outside a random door at a certain time. Homing pigeons are able to use the earth's magnetic field to find their way home from wherever they are. They work by being held at various locations far afield, and when something noteworthy happens the note is attached and they are sent back to their roost.)

Well.. Pigeons only know how to get back to the place they have been grown.. You don't just give them an address and a message and have them deliver it like a pizza.

So that pigeon should have been grown up by Maddison, given to the someone who wants to send the message, this person feed it until the need to send a message is there and them let go the pigeon with the message. Which implies they should already know each other and Maddison should be familiar with pigeons which she is not.

So it lacks all common sense and any realistic behaviour.. Its the trade mark of the M&M wonderland dreams & BS factory! I say this is cannon all the way!

About she being in TX.. Well, gemma was meant to be in London.. Isnt it? They are probably just around the corner.

BTW.. Dont know if anyone mentioned it but it seems the person who is sending the messages could be Bree's mother.. Do you agree?

And to be honest.. I like the making of this vids more than the LG15 ones.. They are not so messed up trying to fix with editing what is faulty from the very beginning.

Though the videos overall don't look to be in the Creators style, I do find it interesting they have been put up while there has been no video since Friday. Then again they probably just went away for the weekend like last weekend and that explains that. M&M are too busy to even get LG15 done and all that goes with it, there is no way they worked on this too. It's either associates they set up to make this or experienced fanfic (aka not random fans- people who know what they are doing).
