We have had a little discussion about whether Rachel is a Telegraph Ave production or not. I think most of us are leaning towards it not being one, or at least it not being a part of LG. So I figured I would start up this thread for any leads, theories or evidence to try and discover who is producing the series. Of course we all already know that Rachel is played by Sara E.R. Fletcher. She has some stunning photos at Model Mayhem. It doesn't look like she has made this easy for us, despite being instantly recognized I haven't found her listing this show in her credits anywhere.
I still think there may be some tie to LG or Telegraph Ave Productions. First, the style, dialog and acting are all reminiscent, but of course that can just be copied. Secondly there is the fact that she is continually using lonelygirl15 and other LG character names in her tags (for her first two videos she also included some other big time vloggers), again this could easily be done by anyone on YouTube and many whom are not related to LG include lonelygirl15 in their tags for extra views. There is also the curious fact that she cross posts to YouTube and Revver like LG and KM (well Bebo and YouTube in KMs case), this also isn't solid proof as many people do this. What I did find curious is that she was able to be the second subscriber to KM on YouTube this could of course just be a case of good timing.
The evidence I think there is against it being being a Telegraph Ave production is first of all the obvious drop in video quality. This videos may be shot with a webcam like the early LG vids and likely are not shot using the prosumer cameras that are used for LG now. Also there is the subject matter; many have raised the idea that since LG will barely talk about sex at all that it is unlikely they would suddenly do a show that talks so frankly about STDs. There is also the fact that only two (out of four) of Red Earth's videos are listed as response videos on lonelygirl15.com. One would expect them to hype their own series as much as possible.
I guess we could just ask the girl, but that feels a little bit like cheating.
