VeiwerZane at the phorum just noticed that kate has popped up on the main page. This seems relevant to the posts in "Room With A View" thread re Kate's popularity or lack thereof so far:
i think the fact that kate's top friends include "Kate Modern Production" should be a good clue to people, but then again, many people surely will be fooled for a bit.

Just noticed when you sign in you get this message now:... Even Sophie gets mentioned. i saw this too! i also noted that sophie's picture from a few days ago has gone missing! the picture looked a lot like one of the production crew (though maybe an old picture). sophie's page right now says it has 420 fans. 15 minutes ago it said 350. let's keep an eye on this. --- ETA: i saw on lg15today that sophakie posted a recap of KM so far: Sophie says...... "I figured I'd kinda summarize what happened in the past week. If you guys have anything to add, let me know! First off, Kate's name really isn't Kate. I know! Random! Not really sure why she changed her name, but it looks like it has something to do with these creepy dreams she's been having. Tariq and Gavin are starting a new business, but their first attempt to get an office is... well... not too successful. BUT, it looks like Tariq is handy with a pitchfork. We still haven't seen Kate's flatmate Charlie yet (Boo!), but Kate showed us Charlie's room. Um, messy!!?!?! Kate's still dealing with the fact that her friends don't trust her, and Tariq made it pretty clear that Kate needs to be honest with him... or else. Kate was upset in the Derrida video, but it looks like she went to Tariq's (did he take her in!?!?). Over the weekend Kate had a dream and she made a SUPER CREEPY video. I have no idea what that's all about, but I hope she's okay".

They need to hire a new typographical designer - that is an ugly font, and the text itself is a pretty weak tag line.
But good on them for advertising. I'm still curious about how producers will try to attract new viewers. I'm actually a little surprised they aren't making more trailer style videos. The LG one was very popular and I have been getting a number of comments on my old LG vid since it was released, which I believe are from new viewers of the show.

I see this thing taking off pretty well at Bebo. What I don't see is much KM phorum traffic. Perhaps that is not part of the business model they have with Bebo and they only launched the KM phorum as a side-venture to keep the LG phans happy.
Has anyone seen anything on Bebo prompting users to go to LG15.com and hence the KM phorums??
I wonder how many Beboites have made the jump to the phorum, quite a few (including this monkey and many others here) have jumped the other way. I like Bebo!

Has anyone seen anything on Bebo prompting users to go to LG15.com and hence the KM phorums?? i have not, and i bet we won't either. i haven't seen any evidence of bebo KM fans making it over to lg15.com. and that doesn't surprise me, because its seems that the majority of people who inhabit myspace and bebo tend to stay within that community. at least that is what happened with PromQueen - myspace got its 12hour exclusive on all episodes, and the promqueen.tv site and forums were very slow (and not advertised on myspace). we may find that community networking sites like myspace and bebo are where internet serials start to prosper. both sites seem willing to promote certain shows and thus direct their massive traffic to a few options. for the avg person, trying to find a show on youtube is too daunting. but if myspace offers 10 "preferred shows", let's say, that's much more digestible for casual surfers. growing an audience for a show at a dedicated single-show site seems to be very hard since youtube came around. miles had that problem with his shoutboy.com videos -- how do you get traffic there? lonelygirl15 succeeded in establishing its own site, i think, because the height of controversy surrounding it drove people to look into it more. but even the c's seem to have a game plan of hosting multiple shows from their website.
