CG's addition below to the "best phorum thread" made me think we need to have a category for best non-show drama event in LG15. While not a thread per se, the emergence of the Main Page sub-genre phans. With cries of "firrrrrst, meeeeep, bundt cakes, grape nehi, etc.". Surely the most pleasant of all the phorum pholks and the inclusion of them into the phorum was a smart move by BK et al. Pleasantly bizarre group of phans. Here are my nominations: 1. CAA Connection is made / LG15 admitted to be fictional show / "A Message From The Creators"(Sept 7, 2006) 2. Jessica Rose is outed (Sept 12, 2006) 3. The Bree Chat (Nov. 28, 2006) 4. The Non-firing of Yousef (Yousefgate) (Nov 8, 2006) 5. Lonelygirl15.com website proven registered in May 2006 (outing around July 18, 2006) 6. Rise of the video commenters (which CG referred to) as a distinct group. 7. CiW disavowed by Creators and Anchor Cove (mid Sept 2006)

Milo: what about the Cove mutiny? I didn't even think of that! If we hadn't mutinied, the Creators may not have ditched the old phorum software and put up the much better forum software, which can much more easily handle a larger community. the old phorum started to strain at 100 members.

Oh the cove mutiny is my number one, that was a pretty fun revolution if I do say so.
I think for procrastinating fun I'll rank the other nominees:
1. CAA Connection is made / LG15 admitted to be fictional show / "A Message From The Creators"(Sept 7, 2006)
**Everything happened so fast, it was like an avalanche. This gets the number one spot because all our sleuthing finally came to fruition in a huge mountain-slide sort of way. It happened so fast in fact that many people were still left lost and confused, wondering was that REALLY "The Creators"? Is CAA just a red herring? Is this all another trick? I think us core sleuthers knew what had been revealed was indeed the truth because we knew the real-life investigators were breaking the news soon too and that based on past slip-ups that the Creators really didn't seem sophisticated enough to create THAT huge a conspiracy, but it was a fun way of discovering the truth while still retaining some mystery!**
2. Jessica Rose is outed (Sept 12, 2006)
**It was kind of fun, though really it was just reinforcing something we already knew. It was kind of fun to see our pure Bree in some compromising pictures (my favorite being the actually-a-joke trucker-hat/cigarette/beer-can picture) and must have been a huge surprise to many fans to see these montages on youtube that weren't as actively following the recent developments, but at the same time there was something almost awful about the way her private pictures were splashed all over the internet. Granted they had been posted in an on-line medium, but I don't think anyone expected nor intended these still personal pictures to be seen by millions. Kind of felt bad for her, though glad that it has all worked out.**
4. The Non-firing of Yousef (Yousefgate) (Nov 8, 2006)
**Two months on from the reveal and things were dragging. We Covers were becoming more disillusioned and disappointed every day with the new turns the series had taken. With talk of Yousef being fired though we flew into action and helped instigated a revolt of proportions never seen since the Anchor Cove one away from the original phorum. It was fun, but at the same time awful because the one character who had only been getting better and whose actor we had gotten to know and knew was an amazing guy might be in trouble. It all worked out, as usual, but was a really worrying time at the same time that the revolution was rather entertaining after a lot of dragging for the previous two months.**
7. CiW disavowed by Creators and Anchor Cove (mid Sept 2006)
**This doesn't rank higher because while it was a huge thing over at the phorum, I was just glad that it went away. I hated the Cassie furor that went on over CiW and was really going insane over it. Also, the Cassholes that CiW brought in hung around for another couple of months and are the ones I believe who truly gave the phorum its terrible reputation with us. Those people were simply irrational, they freaking made a 70+ thread on one simple Cassie video in less than 24 hours. How can that be anything OTHER than crazy? With Cassie clearly gone and never coming back being more than a few months on from September, I think they're finally subsiding and the phorum has gotten a lot more bearable.**
3. The Bree Chat (Nov. 28, 2006)
**Haha I would put this above CiW because it was FAR more entertaining than CiW ever was... however this was seriously such a low-point for the series it was embarassing. This definitely was the most fun we had had here since the reveal, but unfortunately more at the Creators expense than anything. Also stupid was how this set into motion the sad attempt at fan interaction by randomly making Holly the "representative" in the "should Bree go to Jonas's?" arguement. Seeing as Holly had on multiple occasions made allusions to wanting to bed Jonas, despite her claims of being impartial it was clear the outcome had been pre-ordained. Also at this point in the Breeniverse they had been on the run and living in back alleys, which was both getting tiresome and annoying. Who wants to imagine their wonderful innocent Bree dumpster diving? Plot was at an all time low around this point.**
6. Rise of the video commenters (which CG referred to) as a distinct group.
**The meepers? Those people were annoying as anything. Not to generalize, but the behavior of the Meeeeepers remind me of middle school aged nerds, while the Fiiiiiiirsters I just want to destroy. I hear they aren't as bad at the Cassholes were though.**
UNCLASSIFIABLE: 5. Lonelygirl15.com website proven registered in May 2006 (outing around July 18, 2006)
**This was almost a non-event becaue at this point there was no Breeniverse culture. There was no action at the website when this happened, and nothing could actually get discussed in the youtube video comments because they were so volumnuous that it'd just get lost in the crowd. However, I don't want to rank it last for this because it was a very important event. It was the first major crack in Bree's facade and one that just couldn't be ignored. This led to Bukanator's response (which by varrying accounts at this point was not even Grant anymore) which to any crack investigator was completely unbelievable and actually had two variants. It was clear from this that things weren't as they seemed and probably served as the biggest inspiration to the investigators to keep going even when there wasn't much else to make one believe it was fake. This was the one tangible clue we had for months and served as a real guidepost. It is both the event with least fanfare and yet most single importance.**

Re #4.....to my knowledge, no one has pointed out how much Yousef's acting improved following Yousefgate., (so I guess I'll do it). Recall how painful his acting was in those first outside the bedroom arguments with Bree were, compared to his range and subtlety now....and I'm a big Yousef fan..

Special mention should go to the whole "jumping the shark" brouhaha. Loads of us learned a new metaphor.
