Nos, Do you know Cu_Roi, personally? Are you sure that he found the bag, or is he just maybe wanting to discourage other people from looking for it...? You guys are cool, so I feel okay to link the other forums here. forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16745&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0This is one of the threads we have over at Unfiction. The other one is in 'Timewasters' under Lonelygirl15. The people at Unfiction are VERY careful in confirming something is really an ARG before devoting more time to it, so it's not very big as of yet. I am sure that once the video is posted, it will get more attention then. As for Cu, he's been around Unfiction since ILoveBees. Which was...*thinks* 2-3 years ago? I've been playing ARGs with him for awhile now. So I am pretty reasonably sure he is legit.

Soo.... theories on what is IN the bag?
I'm thinking.... something like tarot cards or blocks with letters and we have to figure out what they say or something.

The people at Unforum are pretty dedicated, so I would highly doubt that he's messing with us, but I have to wonder why he doesn't just take pictures of the bag's contents? Why does it have to be a video? Pictures don't take long at all to post.
I still don't believe this Cassie is connected to the Lonelygirl story by the actual 'creators' because her video is still not on Revver which is where all of the Lonelygirl videos are posted, and which has been predominantly shown in the interviews they've done since being outed. I can't believe they'd make a video connected to the story and not put it on Revver.
My guess is someone is trying to kickstart an actual ARG based on Lonelygirl, and I would put my money on some of the Unforum guys being behind it as the puppetmasters.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I think someone is riding the coat tails of Lonelygirl15. Now, that doesn't mean that this new adventure isn't fun or interesting, I'm just a little doubtful that it's from The Creators. We'd know by now if they were behind it.

Hey people--unfiction picked up this ARG too!? Hahah, they're hardcore, I actually know someone in that forum who didn't know about the LG15 thing, but lives close to "The bag" and probably would've gotten it were we unable to find someone from here to do it.
...I am so excited to see what's inside! (PS: Alissa, great job on reorganizing the place based on the new name!)

Now, that doesn't mean that this new adventure isn't fun or interesting, I'm just a little doubtful that it's from The Creators. We'd know by now if they were behind it. The whole philosophy behind args is a pretty simple concept: TiNaG, or "This is Not a Game". Likely, if the creators of LG15 were behind it, they would be very tight lipped on it. In fact, when they came out and said they were behind the LG15 thing at all, most of the ARG community was upset, because they basically 'ripped down the curtian' and outted the 'game'. So more likely, we would have heard from them by now if it WASN'T connected. */random spec*

But if you've read Virginia's article, there was a split between some of the Creators because they had different motives and wanted to go different ways with the production-- this Cassie thing just might be the "Split-off"s version of what they wanted to do!

At least that way it would still be sorta-kinda offical. heh.

The creators only ruined the game if it was a game and not just a story. I don't believe that they ever intended this to be an ARG, instead it's a serialized drama with fan discussion affecting where the story goes. That's nothing new, just look at the last two seasons of Buffy to see how fans can affect where a story goes, but doing it exclusively online was the new twist.
Unless the creator that 'split' wants to mess up the storyline of the other creators, I can't imagine he would just try to mess it up with an alternate storyline that could muddle up the original. I would think he could just start up his own serialized videos with the story under his control.

Unless the split is just part of the "story". It'll be interesting to see if they stay seperate or merge somewhere down the line.

Just FYI: According to the other forum the video will be up in about an hour from now. Therefore, I'm going to the grocery store and taking a break from reading historical theory (why oh why am I continuing my education?) and constantly watching these forums. I'm excited, I hope it's good.

LOL... The people over at that "other" forum and nearly delirious waiting for this video release. Seriously, they're driving themselves into a frenzy. If they were all locked in the same room they'd be eating each other's ears!
