i think this line of questioning is worth some thought... the fact that it was registered before her first post...
also, buka seems very suspect...he claimes to not have very much time yet when a post threatening to leave was made he replied within 20 minutes...
he gave some flip answer about bree's photo on the site and how it was just temporary yet it's still there...
why, if he is supossedly web savy, won't the search function work?

Good call on the Buka/lonelygirl15.com thread:
Buka claims to be a Web developer from San Francisco. He says he was born in South Africa but his family is Russian. He is LG15's biggest fan, and he loves his Leica.

Yeah, the creator of Buka group said it was something completely unrelated, as I recall.
Also, I want to note here that:
Lonelygirl15.com, lonelygirl15.org and lonelygirl15.net were all registered on the same day (May 12) through Domains by Proxy. Domains by Proxy is owned by GoDaddy and whenever you go to register a site with them they offer proxy registration. Proxy registration is free if you register three sites at once (like they did.)
Some people claimed that lonelygirl15fanclub.com and lonelygirl15.info (I think I accidentally said this at one point) were registered on that day as well. Not so, these other sites were both registered in August.
The guy at Lonelygirl15fanclub.com seems to me to just be a genuine fan. He posted a theory that 10.12.06 is, in fact, 10.0.12.06, an IP address which he points out traces back to, of all places, southern California.

Buka is obviously part of the crew. The excuse for having the site is pitiful. I just don't think they expected anyone to figure out the registration dates.
I'm a member on a ton of forums, and moderators are the most anal, power-crazed people on the net (no offence Alissa!) - for him to be so distant most of the time suggests someone with only a passing interest.

The 10. network of IP addresses does not "trace back" to anywhere. They are unroutable and reserved for private internal private networks: www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc1918.htmlOthers have posted about the location of the webserver not really being relevant, other than to what hosting company the domain is being run from.

Yes, the Buka group was all in my crazy head. (Well, or at the very least, one of ten million unrelated coincidences.)
Buka is more likely to me "Unsociable person" (Russian slang). Or, you know, a LonelyGuy.

All - I got the following note from Buka: ---- Mettle,
I found some friends who are working furiously to put up a new forum by sometime later tonight. I apologize with how crummy it's been. I've asked Alissa and Terryfic to come back as moderators. I want this site to be FOR THE FANS. There are a lot of cool things I want to do here, but I need you to bear with me since I'm doing the best I can. This site is nothing without you and the other LG15 fans. Thanks for your dedication.
Bukanator ----- Alissa, Terry - have you been approached? Anyone else get this? What's the story behind it? Why would he care? He said he's going to spill... and we should definitely get what info we can.

Reasons why the want us all back.
a) Control the venue for discussion of the mystery.
b) They only have to monitor one site.
c) They only have to desseminate info on one site.
d) The best players in the game are here!!!
Maybe this IS getting to big for them...

Yes, this is too big for them. I'm afraid they're going to use 10/12/06 as a date of potentially big revelation to give themselves time to catch up. Did anybody read Virginia's new discoveries and have some thought about them?
