Anchor Cove has moved to this address - www.anchorcove.net/forumYes, unfortunately you will have to register again, and we have so far been unsuccessful at transferring all the old posts over to. But despite this problems we still feel it is a move in the right direction for Anchor Cove. The new forum adds a lot of new functionality and allows us to make a forum that is less focused on LG15 and gives equal billing to all shows. For more details about what functionality will later be added to the new site see - www.anchorcove.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=84As for phasing out this forum, I highly recommend everyone switch over and begin posting at the new site. I for one will no longer be posting significantly here and will only stop by to sticky threads on occasion. This forum will not be closed or deleted, but it will no longer be maintained - if suddenly spam becomes an issue then we may choose to lock down all the boards and let the site serve only as a archive. milo edit: i changed title from moving to MOVED

No, I wasn't making a judgement with my statement, just an observation. I never signed on or off to the moving plan, and actually have only posted one time there. I prefer it here because it's easier to figure out. I can't tell what I've read and what has new posts at the new place, it's less confusing here.

well, that's a right pickle then, huh? i hope alissa is not pissed because she's the Creator of Anchor Cove.
i was the 1st to howl about phorum 3.0, but i think terry has done a much better job with anchor cove forum 2.0. let's try to make that one better if need be, this place is pretty much shuttered.
i think the main feature of the new site that is really worthwhile is the front page that can host articles, and be integrated with the forum. also, the fact that the new forum is better equipped to handle multiple shows bodes well for the future.
just my 2 cents.

Ugh, I can't just stand around and let Hye make people think things that aren't true! I'll just copy/paste what I said to flwright.
"Hahaha. No, I am not coming to the new board. It is time to let go. The only thing keeping me along here really was that I created it and had invested HUGE amounts of my emotional energy in it. I did nothing to help create this new creature, and so, I shall die along with my original brainchild.
pretty melodramatic, eh? Well, I've got a cold, so deal with it. "
And so there it is. The end! *wrinkles nose*

I disagree Alissa. This new forum would NOT exist if not for you. And in order to safely keep your creation going without the risk of crashes and loss of data (which happens on these free boards when they get too big) an update to a different model is needed.
I have offered suggestions in order to save each post here and link to it like I did on my site. My old freeboard crashed and I did not replace it, merely moved it to a reliable host.
The 'new' forum is no replacement for what you have created but simply a new form of software to protect and continue keeping it alive.

T X I totally agree Temp, the new board is not a replacement, but simply an upgrade. And I do plan to offer a backed up version of this board as an archive at the new one.... once I figure out how to get that work. Any help on the matter would be much appreciated

I still want an archive version of the original forum. We had been promised that.

Well, whether it was meant to be a replacement or not, this is how I consider it. I really can't force myself to feel any other way, but, I am not 'pissed off' as someone so eloquently put it. I just can't help how I feel about it.

Hmmmm....
I see Alissa has thrown her toys out of the pram again.
Proboards offer reliable back up by the way. This board is perfectly functional and could have given "equal billing to all shows" if so tweaked. We all know the REAL reason for the move is to bypass Alissa as admin.
