I would be pretty impressed if anybody could work out the location using logical reasoning. It could be anywhere, there is nothing to suggest it is or isn't London or anywhere else. It reminds me of the weird videos posted on the toob a while ago by travelerj19 & walterdw. www.youtube.com/user/TravelerJ19www.youtube.com/user/WalterDW

It does feel AGRy... I felt like Cassie had risen again, lol. I think that they are just trying to manufacture the same kind of creepiness that LG generated naturally. I know Kate's 'cover' is that she's an art student, but that just felt forced. Forced creepiness = laughable.

Just looking at the numbers,
Kate Modern has 373 friends, she has gotten 5252 profile views, the other characters have gotten 1300-2000 profile views each.
It doesn't seem to be a very auspicious beginning as far as drawing an audience. I think they have gotten as much media hype as they are going to get, seeing as it will not be possible to repeat the stunt of the LG15 hoax. Everyone knows who is behind it, knows that it's fictional, and that the characters are actors.
How will they recreate the intrigue of LG15, especially if they are just going to recycle the same formula?
I didn't really understand the idea that being on a British web site means they will draw a British, Australian and New Zealander audience. Haven't they figured out that the the internet is global. not local?
If they produced a show in another language maybe they would reach a new audience, but in English the potential audience is the same.

Just looking at the numbers, Stopped by the phorum thread for this vid, only two pages of posts. Not sure if the phorum was the intended venue for this production's main discussions (per the biz plan with Bebo), but it seems that there is not much interest from the phorumites to post there. I suppose the biz plan was to draw users to Bebo and that platform will generate the eyeballs needed to support it. My guess is that when the "intrigue" and ARG stuff kick in the phorumites will ramp up the postings at the mothership. Still, it seems like it's not a huge initial reaction from the party faithful. Is there a thread-based discussion section on Bebo?

Well I imagine all the meepers use the video comments section on Bebo to talk and I assume all 'in character' discussion will have to be done on Bebo. Maybe once lg15.com finally gets upgraded and the KM area is added that might encourage more people to talk about it at the phorum. In general, I think it is just too early in the series for much discussion, really all they have shown so far is prologue stuff. I really think pretty much all the videos they have shown so far could have been part of a prelaunch build up and then make the official launch date be when the story actually begins. If I was a random person that didn't know about LG and just heard of KM and checked the first couple videos I know I wouldn't be coming back for more. It is a terrible pilot.
I also find it amusing to glance through the video comments on bebo with everyone fighting each other to see who can complement Kate's videos the grandest. I would be surprised if half of them would give those vids a second look if they weren't made by the creators. They look like a generic film students art film, which to be fair is what the character is so it makes sense storywise, but doesn't make for particularly compelling viewing.

It is of course much too early to call KM a flop, or to even say whether it is any good or not, so far it hasn't been bad, but I think it is certain that the Lonelygirl15 notoriety and the resulting media hype (what there was of it) is not going to generate a huge ready made fan base eager with anticipation to see what happens with KM, as I'm sure Bebo and the C's were hoping for.
This means that they are pretty much starting from scratch in building a fan base for Kate Modern. I am really curious to see if they are going to be able to pull it off, given the limitations they are working with. I doubt if advertisers will be interested in product placement deals if the audience doesn't grow significantly in the coming month or so.

Why on earth is KM friends with 'The KM production team?' Thats just seems so sloppy to me...unless she knows she is not real? If they can't get the little things right, what hope is there when they try the big stuff?

Why should us, the LG15 audience, care why KM is up to, when they haven't even finished LG15-- what, are they going to abandon and half ass KM too when they don't get what they expect?

Why on earth is KM friends with 'The KM production team?' Thats just seems so sloppy to me...unless she knows she is not real? If they can't get the little things right, what hope is there when they try the big stuff? Once again we raise the eternal question of "Who Sees What Where...?". I agree Wixy, they just don't seem to "get" this stuff and it just reeks of sloppiness. They are breaking the fourth wall right out of the gate with this kind of thing. I guess one could argue that they aren't even pretending this is "real", but that kinda shatters the intended illusion of a vlog. I dunno, maybe Jeromy will chime in and give us a perspective of a producer as to doing all that is possible to maintain the "reality element" in an ARG. I don't mean to be nit-picky about this, more just an inquiry into the aspects of maintaining a sense of reality...
