This video is a big "WTF???"
ETA: Gotta love how Danny B. stops mid-kidnapping to blog about it while sitting back in one of Jules's lawn chairs. Imbeciles.
ETA:Jonas, you wuss. If you were so certain what you were doing was wrong, you could've said, "Ok, you want to kidnap her? Fine. I'll take the car. You people figure it out, I'm not getting involved. Byyyeeeesss". And I hope they wouldn't have tried it without a getaway vehicle.
Man, they just took the forceful route with her from the get-go, didn't they? I expected better from Bree, I thought she could be sneakier than that. I still think she should have tried to get to know Jules when she was walking back. Maybe approached her with Taylor, whom she at least knew.
ETA: I can't wait for Taylor and Sarah to realize that they were collaborating with kidnappers, and that thanks to them Jules has been kidnapped. Sure, we know they're not going to hurt her, but any one else would think "OMG i can't believe what I did call the cops shit shit SHIT".

no. no way. how completely idiotic is bree? I do love how jonas is just ranting away. And, as always, the breeniacs film themselves committing crimes.

Layne Wow… Just when I thought running up and screaming “Don’t do the ceremony!” was the worst possible way to approach her… Way to earn a girl’s trust, guys
Windwalker: Ok, is it just me, or do they seem to be having a string of idiotic ideas at the moment, what’s next, grabbing exposed wiring while in a tub of water?
physphile Who put the girl whose most well cultivated relationship is with a monkey-puppet in charge of sweet talking the girl in the first place?
just a few of the random WTFs on the comments.

I'm just waiting for Jules to say.... "Please, let me go! What's wrong with doing my first Holy Communion?"
What will the Taag do then?!!

Best line in this video. Daniel: "she hates us...I don't blame her" as Jules is screaming and kicking the door. I'm just waiting for Jules to say.... "Please, let me go! What's wrong with doing my first Holy Communion?" What will the Taag do then?!! ...and she turned out to be just be a Youtube vbloger and not the new girl after all. That would be taking fan interaction a little too far I think. They may as well take this into the realm of absurdity, it's already there anyway.

At this point I can only hope that the "Theme" of LG has become an example of what happens when well intentioned folks resort to "bad" deeds in pursuit of, what they believe to be, some kind of beneficial reason. I doubt that they have the writing chops to pull something like this off though and I guess this is just wishful phanwanking. This video was just wrong on so many levels. Obviously the c's don't have children. I found this even worse than the shooting of Bree's notDad. Appalling .

I keep hearing the comediean Lewis Black ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lewis_Black) in the back - no the front - of my head, stuttering, sputtering, and flustered trying comprehend Wh-wh-wh- the f-f-f-fuck just happened here!!!!! CG, you're right (As you so often are). The creators must not have children. I'm sure it was hard for most people to watch but as a parent I cringed and blanched throughout this eposode. I shuddered every time I heard that girl scream; the kick at the window made a sickening thud . I've always been a big DB fan but he just gave me the creeps every time he talked. He sounded and looked liked some kind of twisted mentally challenged devotee of Bree who is having some innate ethical problem with the situation that he just doesn't understand. Someone besides me has got to be reminded of the movie "Natural Born Killers" or "Monster" or maybe even "In Cold Blood" I've been watching for a while and I just don't think "Curly, Moe and Larry" have the talent to write a decent way out of this situation. Joan had the best line this time - Sadly, it is the question we have got to all be asking now: "How is this going to end Bree? How is this going to end?"

This is supposed to be appalling and creepy. BDJ's character(s) are coming through loud and clear. And, no surprise, here there's good and bad in them. Jonas has a brain(conscience), Daniel has a heart(empathy), and Bree has courage(misdirected). Time to Make the Donuts, FLWright PS I hope the good wells out. <edit>Punctuation <eta>And it's nice to see the YouTube posts are totally current. <eta>Happy Hippy Birthday, RobT!

The c's are doing a good job of ruining Lonelygirl for me, so I ask you, please, please, please leave The Wizard of Oz out of it! It's my all time, absolute favourite! Don't ruin it for me too! I know that they want it to be seen as appalling and creepy - maybe even ironic, but still there are places they took us, that this just didn't need to go to. I also agree with CG, that based on what I have seen of the c's work so far, I really don't think they can pull this off in any kind of intelligent or even legitimate way.

They may as well take into the realm of absurdity, it's already there anyway. So true Rob. All we are really doing with this series is waiting for Godot.

Wow, well this is pretty near unforgiveable.
I too got the sense that perhaps they were trying to make a point about B&D having good intentions but essentially becoming no better than the Order. (I mean, what ELSE could it be. If this is truly how they want their story to go without any deeper ironic meaning than that is just the most idiotic thing ever.)
The thing I thought of was Animal Farm- B&D are trying to lead their own revolution against the Order, which they see as bad, but are now resporting to just as bad measures themselves despite still seeing themselves as the good guys.
Meanwhile Jonas's failed protests were pathetic. Remember the whole Jonas-is-tied-up but Daniel didn't help because he didn't agree mystery? Well this time Jonas didn't agree but just like Daniel instead of actually preventing B&D or taking a stand he made his protest and then continued to assist. He has no reason to complain about being tied up now as he is inflicting that same torture on someone else in the name of Order fighting. I wish they and the Order would just all blow up now and hopefully original Bree and Daniel will find a way to crawl out of the rubble and refuse and start some vlogging all over again.

I do have a suspicion that this is the road they are going down, at least with this ep. BUT, my other hunch is that they will then ABANDON this soon (if not the next ep) and then this ep will just seem to appear to be really fraked up and out of context for our characters. Sigh.
I used the word "Theme" above and I do hope that this is what we are seeing. I actually could buy off on that premise, i.e. the good guys are unintentionally turning bad. Again, I doubt they have the depth or foresight to go down this road though. The phorumites could probably not handle this either... Cue the revolt if the story goes this way.
I'd still hate what they did to the characters, but at least it would make some kind of sense and tie all of this together. Perhaps they planned this whole thing as a cautionary tale about misinterpreting religious movements or the like. Again, I doubt they are that sophisticated and we're left with the dreaded phanwank.

I am impressed with the deep literary explanations and observations so far. On the surface it was very creepy. Very. What I am hearing now though is that perhaps there is something deeper, some subtle social commentary or hidden message, some device dumb ol' me just didn't get right away. Maybe so. That would be cool. Frankly though if there is some clever story telling device being used here, it is purely by accident. I have to laugh when I imagine the phorum-ites lounging about in the faculty lunge, clad in birkenstocks, wool, sport coats with elbow patches, stroking their chins and puffing on pipes while they discuss the deeper meaning of LonelyGirl15. Perhaps the English department should offer an upper level seminar to discuss the brilliant observations and commentary on Cults and their effect on alientaed American youth from dysfunctional homes and the impact the series has had on the Anchor Cove intelligentsia and Salon society. \sorry,,, bored at work, just rambling....
