And i have to agree with most of what hyemew said above about bree suddenly skipping town to see tachyon. certainly not flying to fiji, i hope, because that would raise more flags than taking jonas to the ER for some stiches. more likely, jessica was skipping town to shoot some scenes for "the perfect sport", no?

Yeah, I definitely think that Jess was not around because of having to film something else so they wrote her out of this episode- and actually in all likelihood they must have filmed multiple episodes that day. That's because obviously if it was only for one episode there would be no reason to make up the stupid and extremely non-sensical "she's visiting Tachyon" excuse (how does Bree get to her? She left remember! Did she suddenly just happen to fly back into town for who knows why? And WHY does she live in Fiji anyway, it's just so random and difficult to the plot.) For this one episode they easily could have said she stayed home, but presumably they filmed a bunch of episodes thtat day so they needed a more multiple-episode reason for her to be away.
That said, if Jess shows up in the next episode that's a major d'oh!
I still kind of wish they hadn't addressed her absence at all, even if she was gone for multiple episodes, I think it would have been possible. This episode ended up being mostly one big explanation- and an implausible one- of why Bree wasn't there and just seemed like too much.

Jessica and Yousef are 99 according to myspace. Jackson is 85.
I'm basically repeating what milo said, but I think after watching Jess and Yousef play characters younger than their real age (which seems to be the norm in Hollywood) it throws our perception out of whack. I think the character of Jonas's aunt is not supposed to be old. Like in her late 20s, and like I said Bitsie is 25 or 26 as far as I can tell.

Why is Jonas so uptight about Daniel hitting on his aunt? Does he harbor an incestuous crush? It's not like she was a kid sister whom he needed to protect. Maybe, in the twisted Breeniverse where normal family relationships are unknown, she's not really his biological aunt but a lusted-after widow of his surrogate mother's adopted brother. That's about par for the course these days.

It makes sense that they'd have done a bulk filming session. Bitsie, being... "accustomed to a paycheck" as someone else said was probably hired for one or two days and then they filmed all the episodes they'd need with her before they run off again. Then the creators only had to pay her for a day or two. Works out for everyone.

Eh, this vid was alright, but not much interesting.

I can foresee Aunt Alex kicking the trio out when she finds out that Jonas broke into her office and snooped. Or something. Dunno.

ok, ok...I should have known better than to have addressed the issue of a womans age in the first place. I never was all that good at it and it always ends badly. I think the make-up threw me off. (and I am sure they will have fixed that by the next episode)

Yes Smashing, peoples My Space ages are often wrong for some reason or another. My own My Space has a birth date based on something completely different than my own.

I kind of thought it was funny. I laughed when they got in the quarrel over whether or not Daniel could hit on the aunt. Though his flirting skills are quite embarrassing.
