Link:lonelygirl15.com/?p=193&play=1 Summary:With your help I was able to open the file Tachyon gave us. It a had a bunch of weird images in it. CG:Major Shout Out to the Phorumites! I thought this was just way cool and a really smart move by the Creators. About time they started recognizing the phans more. Well done.

True. I think it's great they recognized them for their efforts.
But was it just me or did he seem a little... awkward or forced in the way he talked about the forum and stuff? It just didn't sound natural to me.
Then again, it WOULD be weird to actually say some of the usernames people come up with and thank them in that fashion when you're talking to a webcam.
-shrug-
Not anything I didn't already know really.

"Jonas and I had a long bro-down session last night."
Knowing the rumours, I don't even have to ask what this was...
What was oddly sloppy was how Daniel is explaining the mystery, and then suddenly he changes locations (and apparently days, his stubble looks less and his hair is obviously different) yet is still talking like normal. It's so dark it looks like a fanfic episode...
I feel dumb I never actually attempted to help solve it (but that's because I never cared either, nor even really knew there was something solveable) because who doesn't want their name read off by daniel!
Oh, I think I know what happened now. I'm realizing as I watched this that clearly the cabin has got to be a ways away, I can't imagine they'll spend long there in the plot because it's clear that making an hour+ commute ever time they need to film is not feasable nor realistic. I bet they spent a day or two at the cabin and filmed everything that will occur there in the series. Notice how the week before they went to the cabin only had like one or two episodes released, it was extremely slow, but then at the end of this week there was one every day. They filmed all those episodes in pretty quick succession, including the first part of Daniel's speech. That would be before everyone solved it, precluding the ability to give shoutouts (though they could have done that in a voice over and filmed daniel explaining the answer beforehand seeing as they created it they already knew the answer). Once it was solved, they filmed Daniel in this extremely dark place (which is obviously NOT the cabin, though we just pretend and assume it is since we have no way of knowing it's not). I don't like how dark it is though, looks so unprofessional...
Looks like we've been invited to a round two of do Daniel's homework at the end.

I think this was a pretty smart move by the Creators to try and migrate more YT viewers to engage in the LG15.com site and phorum. Yes, Yousef's delivery was a little awkward but I think that it played OK and the "interactivity" with the phans will help draw more users to the site. I bet killTheSmiley will not sleep for a week...
As I posted at o'dark thirty this morning, I really think they need to invest some "manhours" (Amanda Please!) into the In Character section of the phorum to ramp up the interactivity. I think that this long heralded feature is the perfect compliment to the ARG features of the production and the way to really leverage the power of their website. Nothing we have not been saying for months now though...

I think that this long heralded feature is the perfect compliment to the ARG features of the production and the way to really leverage the power of their website. Nothing we have not been saying for months now though... Exactly. At and around the conception of the In Character area, Amanda and/or Miles and/or The Creators kept up with the relaying of sweet, demure messages in response to even the most inane inquiries. While the answers or comments from Bree and Daniel didn't offer very much information at all, they certainly facilitated and generated a much-needed bond between the fans of the series and the characters themselves. During the past few months there have been a few blurbs from Bree but nothing of concern or consequence or, really, character-forum interaction. I've been jonesing for whomever initiates the little snippets (including the Creators as they may increase, as they've been doing more and more lately, interaction within the storyline) to resurrect this area of the Forum and - if not improve - restore it to the state of its origination. Though it may not seem probable, I'd always harvested a small desire to see some of the other characters (Gemma, Jonas - as we know they had to access the LG15 site to attend the Chat Fiasco) comment in the Forum. It seems very far-fetched that Lucy/OpAphid/Tachyon and Friends would peruse the Forum and answer questions. I don't expect this to occur and (having avoided the ARG with the exception of watching the vids) don't wish it to be so, either. All in all, I'm very pleased with this episode. The Creators said they were going to expand the story to include much more interaction between the fans and the characters, and it's comforting to know that a promise has been kept.

I agree that this video felt pretty awkward and they still seem to be a long ways away from smoothly integrating the fan world with the show world. This was definitely better then the last time Daniel solved (or in this case had solved for him) a puzzle. Last time with the secret phone messages and the CUSOON movie puzzle that Daniel just said he figured out and never really explained his steps. This time he went through the steps, but it was still a long ways away from a Sherlock Holmes style reveal.
My favourite part of a mystery is having the detective explain it all very precisely. Those are always fantastic dramatic scenes. So far LG has missed this mark pretty badly. This video could have been edited far more complexly and interestingly. I usually complain because they make the best looking videos when the have the characters least amount of time to make them. For this video Daniel has nothing to do but sit around the cabin. I was hoping he would have made a more visually interesting video describing the problem solving.

For this video Daniel has nothing to do but sit around the cabin. I was hoping he would have made a more visually interesting video describing the problem solving. I think the answer to this is PARTIALLY what Hye said above about the filming schedule of the cabin. The "reveal" was shot somewhere else and is probably the reason the lighting issues were so noticeable. That said. I think that they had to wait and shoot the vid until after the phans deciphered the message and they could not shoot this part ahead of time to give "props" to the phans who cracked it. It IS distracting thought when the "behind the scenes" stuff is so noticeable. I think all will agree it was a little akward, but it is a step in the right direction to interacting with the phans. Would I had rather had a shout out to Milo or Gogo or some other, more uhm articulate phan? Of course, but at least they are trying. I assume these were the actual pholks who solved the puzzles, so my guess is that more people will get involved if they think they can get a shout out... Once again, it is DB/Yousef though who is the conduit for interaction with the phans, I don't think this is an accident and it speaks highly of him and the character he has developed that they use him for this. He remains the Heart, Soul, and (possibly) Saviour of the Series!

Wow, great point about this shout out to the fans being done via Daniel.

Yeah, it seems like Daniel is the only one who actually knows the fans exist. He has gone to the phorums to research in the past and has again, this time going as far to make the shout-outs. He's definitely an ambassador of canon to the fans. It's kind of like Bree is the queen, she's so high up there that she does not have to acknowledge us in any way. It's Daniel who is more like us and does know of our existence. I don't think that's intentional, but I kind of like it that way... it's interesting.
That said, what were they thinking with filming Yousef in a dark room?! I mean I know you weren't at the cabin but it could have been a LOT more realistic looking than that! Personally I would just love it if all this action happened with them stationed in their rooms again... there was something I can't describe and yet I loved about imagining them as two regular kids living in their rooms and operating out of there. I don't know, perhaps makes it more realistic. Then again perhaps if they were doing these exact things but based in their rooms now it would still be just as unrealistic- and this desire to see their rooms again's just nostalgia for when it WAS more realistic and the puppet strings were not so easy to see.

Well, i guess this video did go a long way towards putting fan interaction into play. i'm sure people will be excited about the shoutouts, i'm interested to see if it increases phorum activity the next time a puzzle comes around.
haha. that would cause the space-time continuum of the breeniverse to crack. daniel mentions milowent, someone googles up my blog and sees all my posts about how the creators and jessica rose were revealed, and then the theory that daniel knows he is an actor rises again.

So the LG15 world becomes more integrated. Still no people of any color but now the original, the opaphid and the 'game' aspect becomes a single package. Awkward but at least done.
So Hye, if your filming theory is correct does it predict the next release won't be at the cabin location but 'on the run' yet again?

No, I believe they might have filmed numerous more videos at the cabin. We have no way of knowing how many. For this particular episode though they only filmed the first half. Then they probably went on and filmed the rest of the duration at the cabin. In my opinion making Jonas's house off-limits and fleeing to the cabin would make it their likely permanent home base for the foreseeable future, however logistics-wise I cannot imagine getting everyone into a van and sending them up the at least 1 hour though likely more it would take to get high in the mountains where it snows and stuff. So, using this deducing, there is unlikely to be more than ten cabin episodes and probably less, and they were all filmed over the same weekend or however long. Now what does this mean? Well I'm curious, as presumably we'll never see Jonas's house again, and good Lord willing we won't have to endure them dumpster diving on the street again, so what's next? I don't think Daniel's clues has gotten us anywhere, yet, and while I can't even really keep track of what this second puzzle that is currently proposed is going to solve (I am really bad with args and don't feel like following them- and right now arginess is front and center with lg), but presumably it will tell them where to go and they will go there.
We've had what could have been an interesting longer storyline with Jonas-Daniel tension's been shot, not sure if I like how easily it was all tied up. Now that they've been confirmed as a team working together again I sense Team Bree will be springing into action as soon as the phorumites solve the code. If Tachyon didn't live in Guam (wtf?) I'd say for sure her place will be their next home base...
Right now my best case scenario will be a quick defeat of the order and they can all return to their homes and the story unfolds in different directions from there. It's obvious that that WON'T happen though, and the Order is here to stay for the time being. I'm betting with the introduction via the phorum poll from the Creators the "secret transmission" aspect of vlogs will result in Tachyon communicating more with Bree and most likely telling the Team what to do next.
It's funny how short-sighted things seem to be... I am quite positive that indeed they want Tachyon to send Team Bree a secret message on what to do next. All this cracking Tachyon's code and explaining it via the internet for the Order to see really defeated the purpose, and in order for Tach. to continue to communicate they will need her to send them messages. It was only now that they saw the problems with the Order being able to see anything and therefore they proposed this poll, and knowing that of course it will end up in the affirmative they will be going ahead with this plan for the future.
