First Let me join in congratulating "the creators" (That title makes me feel a little creepy actually) on thier 100th post. It is a remarkable achievment. Two NON-professional film makers on a shoe string budgert and they still regularly make the top 20 You Tube views. In addition they have a strong enough fan base to support two thriving web sites. I'm not sure how many others out there can claim such a resume.
Now let me move directly into bashing that little creap Joan-ass..
God how I HATE that kid. I'd love to take him out behind the school, beat the crap out of him and take his lunch money.
I think it was a no brainer that we would end up going to Jonus' house. They have invested to much in the character to just dump hi, and it appears that there is a large faction of viewers that actually like him. So, what to do?
You know how they say there are only 5 original scripts in hollywood and all the rest are variations? Well get this...
Something has to be done with this troublemaker. He has created unrest and divisiveness. No matter what we do a large faction of the community will revolt.
So we ask a judge to decide. The judge has no interest in the fate of Joan-us but the judge owes his carreer to the crown.
So the judge washes his hands of the whole affair and asks the mob to decide. The judge manipulates the crowd and "hears" them call for.. (are you Christians with me here?).
All the rest is a variation of the script...It is a great strategy. LG and DB go to Joan's house and now we can either make him, a bad guy and bump him off or make him a good guy (and still bump him off I wish) and blame it on the mob.
(I talk too much)

It seems that the creators made a good move with this, over all tho, the creators got their way while avoiding the blame for the final decision and i think they did a pretty good job at it, compared to their other blunders I said this too, until they picked one of the most blatant Jonas (and LG15 in general) lackies they could find to be the final decider. Even without her though, there are a good deal of Jonas-lovers amongst the phorumites so while I think they won't be cheating, they certainly picked a pro-Jonas judge on purpose and believe the phorum at large will vote for him.

I'm guessing that the decision is not based solely on numbers. I'm sure Holly will be considering the "strength" of peoles opinions and reccomendations. A more qualitative assessment than just quantitative.
"It's a sham, no it is a mockery of a sham..."1 of course but I'm also hoping that they have a lot of action packed adventure if they could just write themsleves out of this damn Joan-ass situation

I'm really disappointed. An obvious choice to manipulate the story the way they want it to go without taking the heat for it. Like the 30%+ of people that don't think it's a good idea aren't intelligent enough to figure out why they chose Holly?
And how is this a test? There is no test involved. This is a vote, plain and simple. A vote heralded by a "I like them no matter what they do" fan and a fan that said her location was "In Jonas' bed".
So ah, we'll see. Now I hope Jonas is evil though! I need some action.

I don't like being played with... I don't like people that think that can play with my mind.. So I'm really upset now.. So you M&M Bullshit Factory Inc. want to give the false sensation to the audience that what they think does matters after all.. But an open voting is out of the question because you fear the answer will not be what you want it to be.. You cannot rely on someone from the audience for that very same reason.. So you just put a sign on a door that says "ANYONE WILLING TO SCREAM AT THE CREATORS DO IT HERE!" so you just make sure all the screaming will be done inside a safe and controlled environment.. Put a puppet in charge of it.. And in the end you do what you allready had planned no matter what the audience says.. Because if the audience does not agrees with it (like Slainte said) there will be a escape goat ready to have its head chopped off.. BULLSHIT! @~@|#~|@~@#|€#€#~€[]{][]{][[!! [[€|#€|@#€~|{{"$"·?¨!!! Ç**^¿?=?/&¿%/=$&·"!·"!·"%··!!! ¨*^¿/&%&"··"[]@[#@~{@|~!!!!!!! (Hey.. That censoring soft you guys installed for extreme language works just fine!) ARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGG! They are just so low.. So unworthy.. They dont even deserve us to fart.. bah! So.. The vid.. So far this is the best Yuosef/DB video ever in the worldy world.. Hey, this guy just loves the camera and the camera loves him.. In this last video you can feel how the camera stretches its micro trying to caress his face.. You can feel it melting and glowing red in emotion.. You can tell its trying to steal a kiss from him.. This DB is a camera heartbreaker.. This is the most beautiful love story heard off in a long time.. DB you know what? Just dump that tight-ass Bree and marry this lovely camera that so much cares for you.. Just promise me that if you marry I'll be an honor guest at the party and I'll get a big slice of cake.. :-) Yousef.. If you read this.. Now I'm talking to you man.. Ok, I like to joke and maybe a little cruelty once in a while.. But now I'm being serious.. O.M.F.G!!!!!.. By the great holy cow!!.. When you say "The only other person I trust.. YOU!".. That "YOU" made me jump off the chair and open my mouth in suprise.. It was like "he is talking really to me!! What am I gonna do now???!!".. I was suspended in the idea this hole thing was fucking real for a few seconds.. It really was like riding all six flags at the same time in 3 seconds.. (Like I've ever been there.. But you know what I mean).. Hell, you just made me a believer! You are not anymore the kid that went to cali to become a star and had some luck with this crazy internet DIY series.. To me you are now a real new born star waiting to be discovered by the mighty gods of hollywood.. My hat off for you man.. I'm sure now you'll have good fortune in this bussines.. I love those pauses.. The lost glance.. You touching your face just to make up some time and build the energy to say the following words.. You remembered me of Steve McQueen with all his tricks to keep attention focussed in him no matter how many great actors were with him in the same shot.. Its just so god.. We should keep this vid as a treasure so we can show it to people in 10 or 15 years from now and say: "See.. This is that same guy who now is a great movie star!".. This piece will be one of cult in some time from now.. Believe me!

I think my stance on interactive fiction is being becoming increasing aware to anyone reading my posts (I’m not that impressed with what I have seen so far) but was anyone blown away by the concept behind this video. It seemed totally gimmicky to me. Did having people vote on what happens next really enrich the story for anyone? It seemed forced and artificial. It felt like the audience was involved just for the sake of involving the audience. All of this interaction feels tack on just so it can be marketed as interactive storytelling.
I think if you want to try to attempt interactive storytelling you have to go completely back to the drawing board, and you can’t try to force a passive story (like LG was at the beginning) into a dynamic interactive one. Like all the many comparisons people have thrown out, like storytelling on early radio or something, I would like to compare LG to early film. Back when they use to shoot it like a play. Film did not become its own unique way of telling a story until people abandon this idea of adapting a known way to tell a story (stage drama) and tried something completely different. I think the same thing has to happen if people really want to create an interactive story and not a passive story with gimmicky interaction tacked on.
This week’s LG – You get to pick what happens next Next week’s LG – Make sure you put on your special glasses as it will be in 3D!!

This week’s LG – You get to pick what happens next Next week’s LG – Make sure you put on your special glasses as it will be in 3D!! 3D!!! yes!!!!! ok. it was gimmicky, though i thought it was kind of fun. it certainly didn't improve the story in anyway. in fact, i think fan interactivity like we've seen hurts the story. the average person doesn't write great stories; i don't want my next door neighbor mucking up the next Great American Novel because she decides that, umm, "the story needs a pet monkey in it" (no offense CG), and the story falls apart with these additions. also, i enjoy surprises in fiction. if the storyline is going to follow a loose consenus of fan input, it will neither surprise nor shine. the idea that jonas might be evil is a good potential storyline, but i can't imagine it ever being adopted because it would upset Jonas' harem.

Milo, are you saying that "The Lord of the Rings" couldn't have been improved by having all the fans vote between the movies to decide what happens next? Or that the "Truman Show" wouldn't have been more interesting if we could've participated and voted whether or not Kristoff sank Truman?
I say the members of this forum need to write their own alternitive episodic vid and shoot it. "Bizarro Bree" and what should have happened. Now that would take things up a notch.

Yeah, I'm sorry, but it was totally ridiculous to give the ring to Frodo. He was just a little pip-squeak! Obviously it only made sense to give the ring to Aragorn. And the whole Moria thing was ridiculous too. Obviously a bad idea to go in there. Just cross the mountains at the same place Bilbo and company crossed in the Hobbit!
But I digress. I'm not wild about this particular interaction, but I say cut 'em some slack on this one. They gave a shout-out to a major fan, that's not something unusual (would have been cooler to give the shout-out to the winner of a contest or something), or particularly odious.
My sense is that although Holly is personally a Jonas fan, if the sentiment had flooded in the opposite direction, she would have said "we in the forums don't think you can trust Jonas."
There are better places to incorporate this sort of interactivity -- absolutely agree -- and hopefully they'll find them, but this doesn't really bother me a whole lot.

Terryfic wrote: I can't wait for the 3D! The last few episodes could have used a scratch and sniff card, so viewers at home could "be in the moment." You know, when Bree talks about dumpster diving, we could have all scratched and smelled the rotting Del Taco, or caught a whiff of the moldy warehouse or experienced Daniel's funky armpit sweat after weeks of not bathing.Anyway, I guess this seems rather gimmicky to me. For fans who "will always like" lg15 no matter what, I am sure this is very exciting. Jonas' home was probably the next step anyhow, but I wonder what would have happened if the majority of the posters at the phorum were against a B&D stopover to Jonas' crib. I wonder if he would really be left behind as a character. I would like to think so. And if so, when will the Gemma vote be?

I must say that my heart skipped a beat the minute Yousef's face loaded onto my computer screen, and then skipped a few more beats at the "you" too. Yum, yum, triple yum. edit: wait...test? Did he mention something about a test?
