one.revver.com/watch/145342www.lonelygirl15.com/?p=154&play=1www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ble9N2kDiGcDaniel was bummed out and ran off to the bowling alley by himself. Jonas had to pick him up and he came back with some random girl. I'm sorry you're upset Daniel... but we still managed to have fun - The slurpee shout out will get the phorum all a stir about possibly the stupidest phorum formed joke ever. - The music helps to prove just how awful American Idol is. - If characters are now too shy to talk on camera... well that doesn't bode well for the future of the series.

my god that guest appearance felt forced and pointless. When the music kicked in, I had to laugh.
"I live with two dumb blondes, and all they do is fight over the boys they meet." Is this a veiled slam at the NoHos?! yeah, probably not.
I think the cut-off at the end was intentional.
Jonas told 'random girl' to tell the camera what happened 'cause he wanted to "shame Beast with it." Shaming can also refer to the practice of decorating an unconscious drunk person embarassingly and taking their picture. Google "shaming" and "passed out" for some examples.
The interactions between the characters in this video, as small as they are, made me realize that there has been a real lack of on-screen character interaction, especially in recent videos, but in the series in general. So much of it is one-person vlogs, which isn't necessarily bad, but it is very limiting. And even though I'm just repeating myself at this point, there's really no realistic reason why the characters would make, edit, and post this video. I think the creators believe the reason is the characters want to entertain their "fans" at lonelygirl15.com, but if you follow that logic it either breaks down or you have to start talking about parallel universes to explain the magick.
on a positive note, I thought the acting was good in this one.

OK, I AM GOING TO STEP OUT ON A LIMB HERE. The McPhee character ROCKED. She is the audience. She pointed out a lot of ridiculous things about the show. "Do you guys film everything?" "Hey, where are your parents?" "He had quite the imagination" At 3:58 this may be the 2nd longest episode ever (after On the Run). it didn't feel too long though. the music was no worse than other selections, its inoffensive pop, nothing edgy about it. mcphee got a lot of camera time -- but drunkenness of a friend or friends is often an excuse to make new friends. in some ways this episode was the most real teen like episode of lg15 i've seen. bree came off as a bit shy and immature as per her character in comparison to mcphee. Oh, and i'm fairly sure that what jonas was going to do to daniel was put his hand in a nice pot of warm water. :-) And even though I'm just repeating myself at this point, there's really no realistic reason why the characters would make, edit, and post this video. I think the creators believe the reason is the characters want to entertain their "fans" at lonelygirl15.com, but if you follow that logic it either breaks down or you have to start talking about parallel universes to explain the magick. true. the true vlog videos are the "authentic" ones, but the action videos like this (and the unthinkable happened) only hold up the weakest pretense of being a vlog. perhaps it would be better if they drop that pretense altogether for the action videos -- that might seem radical, but if the construct of the show was changed so that some of the vids are in-character vlogs, and others are more traditional tv drama style to stitch together the vlogs, it might be a better way to tell the story.

I thought KMac was a pretty good actress in this. But wow terryfic, you hit the nail on the head about the slurpee thing, ughh why did the Creators just throw them that bone?! There is going to be thirty of em now screaming OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG HE SAID SLURPEE, DOES THAT MEAN DANIEL'S IN THE ORDER? OMG OMG OMG, since clearly no one at the phorum has the mental capability to realize what a "shout out" is and will assume that it somehow actually has a deeper meaning, just like everything to them. It was a nice way to make a segment of your population happy with something that makes total sense to everyone else not "in-the-know" (unlike references to Tachyon), so while it was a good move in theory, appeasing the phorum crowds does not go on a list of pluses in my book!
It wasn't bad, though you're right, it was semi-pointless. However, the whole uploading a drunk friend passed out is something teens would do so it's not utterly pointless. I guess Daniel has a fake ID? How else did he get into the bowling bar? Or are they leinient out in the Jonas sticks? I'm curious too if that's really the end. I see no reason for them to have cut this up into two parts, but I bet a lot of the new people watching will be like "huh? hey, what happened? Where did Katharine go?! It's over??" Heck we're even wondering. It'd just be kind of random the next day if they have another regular episode without explaining how new friend went home and isn't coming back, but maybe they will address the previous night by showing what they did to Daniel, who might ask where she went and they can say she left and just not be mentioned again.

maybe I am just frustrated with the whole thing, but I didn't like this episode. It didn't seem to make much sense to me, It didn't further the deeply neglected story-line. Why did Daniel go to a Bowling Alley, because he was upset? Um, ok? But since it was a bowling alley and not a bar, why didn't he get carded, he is only 18/19, right? You are much more likely to get carded at a non-bar serving alcohol than a reg-bar. I can believe that a do-gooder would help out a drunk person and try to reach someone to pick him up. I cannot believe, though that the do-gooder would then get into drunk person's friends car and go to their not-a-mansion and randomly hang out with strangers. Especially since she was alone. Come on now... really? Bree coming in all concerned..."Whats wrong with Daniel?!" just annoyed me further. I already really don't like her character right now. She was just basically ripped him a new one in front of the world and she comes in, sees him sleep (passed out) on the bed and NOW she's sensitive and caring? And did anyone else notice that there clearly seemed to be someone else filming parts of the poker scene? It seemed to pan all the characters at a certain point. Maybe it was the way it was cut, but I don't' think so. And finally, poor Daniel is so upset about Bree's disregard for his feelings, total bitchiness and subsequent worldwide humiliation, he indulged in some underage drinking and his "friends" (and American Idol "stranger") decide to mess with him some more? B.S.

Hey, I thought this was pretty good. At least it goes back to life in this world instead of the bizarro world of recent episodes.
It was a little weird for me to see someone we know from a 'reality' show suddenly a fictional character in a 'fictional world' posing as reality.
Glad Yousef didn't go over the top with the drunkeness but I was hoping he'd throw up on Bree just for a little payback.
And I have to grudgingly admit I liked Jonas in this.
Definitely a shot at NoHos. Definitely.

Yousef just said that he IMPROVISED the slurpee shout out to the fans! Wasn't scripted! I thought that fit in there REALLY well. That was a great move-- as long as the phorumites don't try reading deeper things into it like that Daniel's in the Order because of it. I read the first nine phorum pages of discussion on this video and no one has drawn any wild conclusions so I hope that keeps up!

Thank God he didn't say "orange", that would have ruined it by being too direct. This kept it ambiguous enough to seem like a regular comment but is still recognizable to those in the know.

I found it overall a pretty mediocre episode, and not at all what I was expecting considering this had a guest star and they were likely trying to attract more viewers. Bree seems to be becoming more and more like a generic girl and that makes her far less interesting. I’ve always felt unique characters and not a unique story makes things good, but I’m a huge Wes Anderson fan. Did anyone else find the opening scene with the girls willingness to just hope in a car with two boys (one with a handheld camera) reminiscent of Gonzo Porn. I’d don’t think it is good when you are starting to share your mise on scene with porn. It is cute that Yousef improved that. It almost seems like he is more in touch with the fans of the show than the writers. I still don’t think the joke was funny, but I would have fallen off my sit laughing if he had mention how in the Weekly World News he had read something about gayliens. That is the shout out I want! true. the true vlog videos are the "authentic" ones, but the action videos like this (and the unthinkable happened) only hold up the weakest pretense of being a vlog. perhaps it would be better if they drop that pretense altogether for the action videos -- that might seem radical, but if the construct of the show was changed so that some of the vids are in-character vlogs, and others are more traditional tv drama style to stitch together the vlogs, it might be a better way to tell the story. I don’t think everyone will like this idea, but what if, just what if, they used OpAphid for the action vlogs. If you let OpAphid install cameras in Jonas’ house and you had watchers film them walking around, then they could release 3rd person videos of what they did. First you would have to decided if LG and Crew could see these videos, I think it might be more interesting if they couldn’t as you would see the real events, plus their personal take on the events.

Terry that's a pretty good idea having the "all seeing" 3rd person action stuff shot by Tac or somebody. I like that. Leave the vlogish stuff to D, Bree and J.
The video made sense to me. Someone needed to get drunk after all the crazy sh@t they've been through. A little late it anything. I'm glad they didn't overdo the guest shot...we don't need to see a star turn. They made her look like a regular-ish girl. I guess it's safe enough in Jonus-ville to go home with strangers.
The drunk video thing kept reminding me of that old uncensored hotel room video with the Go-Go's (on ludes) from back in the day. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, you can see how the cut would make me uneasy and slightly concerned about Daniel. um...yeah.

I liked this episode. It made me laugh, something that hasn't happened in this series for awhile. I didn't watch American Idol last season, so I didn't know that our mysterious friend was the girl... Katherine or something. I thought she did well. What caught me the funniest was how off handedly Bree said "Who are you?" when mysterious friend was filming. It just made me think of something a 16 year old would say when seeing someone strange filming her. Dunno if it was improved or not, but it was good. And the bits about Daniel snoring and stuff. It was definitely a lighter episode, aside from why he was drunk in the first place. Hmm, I wonder if our dear Yousef went to the local pub for some practice at acting drunk? No, no.... I like him too much to think that of him. So please, no one confirm it if it's true. Unless he took off his shirt. Then tell me. Edit: Haha, the last 3 posts were posted at :57 past the hour. I have too much time on my hands that I notice these things. -sighs-

I liked this episode. Daniel was a pretty decent drunk person, and I don't question him getting alcohol one way or another at all. I don't think it's weird that the girl was willing to get in the car. She's a friend of Jonas', it's really not strange for a friend to get in a car with a friend...surely not porn-like. As for the guest appearance. I don't think she should have been given any more attention because it would have made a lot of fans bitter, and any less it would make her seem random and pointless. Though she wasn't great, she served an important purpose (in my book)....To be a comparison to Bree. It was the first time I noticed how embarrassingly unsocial and immature she is. She really is kind of a nerdy girl. She doesn't seem to hold that intelligent confidence anymore, either. The series has changed. This episode though..I liked. I like Jonas and Daniel a lot these days.
