Definitely TMI in this one. Probably because Cookie Countdown is on its way though. I am really hoping things will get resolved with 10-12 and then can move on to something less annoying. Cause like it or not this religious preoccupation has gotten pretty annoying!

pro . the part where she is on the bed with the camera above her was a new angel Doc, I'd love to share my thoughts about this new angle, but if I speak honestly, I suspect the female mods will IP-ban me. Oh sure, talk about Yousef's trouser bulge (it was a godd@^!\! cell phone) all you want... it's just our society's double standard. Okay to leer at men, grody to appreciate feminine beauty. Edit: Just kidding, female mods. I was being ironic. Of course, our society leers at women a lot more than it leers at men. In fact, female mods, I'm thinking vile thoughts about many of you as you read this. I can't help it -- it's because of Temp's signature.

What is the Denderah zodiac sign for 10/12?
I did find this regarding Egyptian celebrations and festivals:
October 12 (Egyptian month is Hethara:) The Black Land is given to Heru (Horus); The Red Land is given to Set

How completely sexist of you to assume we'd do something like that-- HOW many times have you heard me swoooooooon over Bree? Vespa: I'm assuming whatver is the Denderah sign for Libra, because, October == Libra, but the them having more days thing might influence that a bit.

Let's just all sit around and leer at each other until 10/12 comes.

October 12th corresponds with Hethara (Hathyr, Hator, Het-Heru) 26, the festival of the division of Egypt between Horus and Set.
Interestingly, two days later, October 14th is both the festival commemorating Horus becoming king of the gods, and the "appearance before Ptah," apparently a formal devotional before one of the Creator gods.
Oh, duh. That's what I get for jumping off into another google window instead of reading vespamonkey's post all the way to the end.

<snip> 3. bree dancing in this video just seems odd, maybe because the subject matter seems ominous to us. to bree, this is no more ominous that the revelations of the Lazy Eye video, which is followed by the famous P. Monkey breakdown. but the music they chose sounds kinda cool, like a club version of jesus and mary chain. Among other things Hathor was the Goddess of music and dance? from Thelemapedia on HathorWhen looking at the denderah zodiac yesterday, I was having trouble figuring where we were in the cycle even with extensive explanation. There's some stuff online that explains each figure and how it corresponds to the contemporary zodiac. I'll try to find it again.

Maybe it was just a shout out to the NoHogirls and all there bed bloging Well back to the salt mines I go

Bree says
This is either an uncharacteristic science error, or Bree has swallowed the Denderite kool-ade.
It takes billions of years for the stars to change, and they wouldn't be noticeably dimmer (at least not to any human eye) than about 2000 years ago in Ptolemaic Times when the temple was completed. They certainly wouldn't have changed so that an ancient Zodiac now appeared inaccurate.
Yes, light pollution makes it harder to see the stars -- even though the stars are not actually dimmer -- but it effects all the stars across the board. It's not the sort of thing that could change whether or not an astrological system actually mapped to the sky.
There appear to be no real world connections between this archaic Zodiac and Thelema. Or maybe Mesh and Miles had to do some real research to come up with religious details that are so off the beaten path of Wikipedia and Google.

For those of a nervous disposition here is the Official homeschooled version,A little bit simple for my liking... Bit to Ethnocentric if you ask me, All the "satanic" mentions are a bit much,But In the interests of research,Blah, blah.blah, And qoute"The Zodiac of Denderah changed it to the rescuing of Phrixus out of Thessaly to Colchis. Phrixus sacrificed the ram to Zeus, who placed the ram in the heavens as a constellation. " Proving Science wrong!? www.allabouthistory.org/people-of-ancient-egypt-faq.htmIt is agreed, that the dates were wrong by Miles/KMs . This is not disputed even by the mathematicians,

so. there was so much information that I decided I'll comment on the one thing that doesn't have to do with religion, or bree, or owen, or daniel at all.
I <3333 the music. I looked it up and it's a band called Brad Sucks and the song is called Look and Feel Years Younger. That's my contribution to the board this week haha.

Sorry for the Double post but here we go with proving science wrong, REF... www.new-tradition.org/egyptian-horo.htmwww.pims.math.ca/pi/. QUOTE: The results presented in [1] are most intriguing. The dates obtained were as follows: Round Denderah zodiac - morning of March 20, 1185 A.D. Long zodiac - April 22-26, 1168 A.D. Big Esna zodiac - March 31 - April 3, 1394 A.D. Small Esna zodiac - May 6-8, 1404 A.D. Of course, these dates completely contradict the chronology of ancient Egypt and create a controversy regarding the age of the ancient Egyptian monuments. But still, the results stand for themselves. Clearly more research is needed before final conclusions can be drawn. END QUOTE, This may be of no relevance but it ties a few things up i hope, M

Yeah Mku, I've been looking at that stuff a lot today. I tried checking the night sky on that date(in Egypt) against the night sky on the 12th (in LA?), but I haven't found anything to connect them really. I was also interested in this part: That stuff doesn't match up to the 12th really either, but I did find a free astology chart…http://alabe.com/freechart/ Plugging in the astrological conditions for the 12th is fun and all but not particularly enlightening unfortunately. Does anyone know Bree's birthday? Scorpio, right? For all that talkin' (what is she from a star of som'n?) I still don't know if we know anything new. Is all this zodiac stuff just slight of hand? Perhaps this is just another acknowledgement of some of the messageboard theories? Like, hey we're inneractivve!?! edit: While looking at info about Sirius I found that Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa created the kabbalistic symbol for sirius. He also has ties to the occult and magick. Mostly astological magic. Could the date for the ceremony (or whatever) have been chosen by means of Electional Astrology? There isn't anything tracing it to thelema, but it seems like we have a mix of occult, magick, astrology, and other religions and sciences on our hands anyway. I don't see much of interest on the 12th astrologically (Mars sextile Saturn?), but I'm not sure what to look for either. Just an astrological thought.
