i recently made a mix cd that has this great synth-pop song on it by Freezepop I got if from here. www.fluxblog.org/2007/08/we-both-get-what-we-ask-for.htmli think this songs lyrics offer an alternate explanation for why Bree left the show -- i imagine her speaking to Jonas as I listen to it. let me know what you think. i hope this thread is not too dumb.

hmm, well i thought that person "slainte" would at least like this, because as i've been reading, he is obsessed with a "joanus-danielbeast" love affair. sory.

Slainte seems to have been busy elsewhere lately. I don't think this is a dumb thread. It's not unusual to post something & get few responses. I can't listen to the music because I'm using a handheld while on vacation, but I will later. There are definitely songs that remind me of LG15.

Oh my! I am a huge synthpop fan and I absolutely adore Freezepop! I'll go through my library and find some nifty lonelygirl-esque songs and get back to ya, love!

Get on Youtube & find the video of Neko Case singing Hold On Hold On. That's my #1 LG15 song, I dunno why.

Okay, so my FIRST contribution to this thread will be the song "Ending Start" by Metric. Here you can find a video for it (it's a Buffy fanvid, I love Buffy and there's no official video for the song or decent concert take, so that's vid you get!): youtube.com/watch?v=6ibszhYK30QAlso, here are the lyrics: This song has meant a lot of different things to me at different times and I think it's very apt to describe the LG15 world. The first verse definitely deals with Bree's death and the feelings that both Jonas and Daniel are probably feeling, as well as referring to the Order and it's (bumbling) elusiveness. The rest of the song focuses much more on the Order and how TAAG relates to them. I think you guys are all more than smart enough to see how I feel this relates to LG15, so I'll stop trying to explain because there's just no way I can give the song justice. It's just so beautiful.

Thank you for the additions! Metric sounds a bit like The Cat Power, no? And Neko, its a bit like Grace Slick mixed with the Indigo Girls? Maybe some bluegrass influence as well, or maybe thats just a connection with my own youth.

I've actually been toying with a couple Velvet Underground songs I think can put as a soundtrack to LG. (All this talk of Neko made me think of Nico from VU. heh.)

This is my last post for now, we'll be "out of range" for awhile.
"Maybe Not," by Cat Power, is for the Resistance, if they decide to be heroes instead of makers of overly cryptic videos.
There's a dream that I see, I pray it can be, Look 'cross the land, shake this land, A wish or a command. A dream that I see, don't kill it, it's free. You're just a man, you get what you can. We all do what we can, So we can do just one more thing. We can all be free . . . Maybe not in words, Maybe not with a look, But with your mind.
Listen to me, don't walk that street, There's always an end to it. Come and be free, you know who I am, We're just living people. We won't have a thing, So we've got nothing to lose. We can all be free. Maybe not with words, Maybe not with a look, But with your mind.
You've got to choose a wish or command, The turn of the tide is withering thee. Remember one thing, the dream you can see, Pray it to be, shake this land. We all do what we can, So we can do just one more thing, We won't have a thing, So we've got nothing to lose! We can all be free . . . Maybe not with words, Maybe not with a look, But with your mind . . . But with your mind.

Mr. Winderberry: You were indeed correct. That is a song that could have played in any of many many episodes! I can see a video of it now with Bree singing in front of the standard cliche montage of Joan and DB in their many, many awkward positions!. F-ing lovely!
Y'know the only thing Milo did better than pontificate about LG was find some of the best gd damn music on the web today. They were from the many obscure nicihes of the Internet but they were ALWAYS winners. I have each o ne and have become fans of many.
I never figured out how in the hell he had time to do all that he did and still make a living. My best guess was independently wealthy or civil service worker.
Thanks for the adddition.
I should apologize for my lengthy absence - although my gues sis that there are many who do/did not mis me at all and others still who welcome my silence....but I know deep deep down I am loved by all.
I have been battling some of my own dragons lately and really have not had the time interest or energy to keep up with things much less manufacture commentary, particularly since I can not stand watching the stuff anymore.
But as long as I am logged in maybe I should go on over to the Phorum and give BK a little heartburn. Yeah..actually I think that might be entertaining. I'm sure he misses me. heeee heee
