I'm sure most people will have seen this before, but I only came across it today. I was looking around at all the cool little tools google has and among them are some great stat generating tools. Like this one: www.google.com/trends?q=lonelygirl15&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all&sort=0 which shows the amount of google searches for lonelygirl15 and notes when there was media attention for the show. I think the pattern of less and less searches will surprise no one. But what i found sad was that July 2007 was the first month since Aug 2006 not to have enough search engine volume to justify a graph. On second thought, I think this might have to do with the google software and not the actual volume of searches. ETA: Another chart I found interesting - Jessica Rose vs Lonelygirl15 in 2007 www.google.com/trends?q=Jessica+Rose%2C+lonelygirl15&ctab=0&geo=all&date=2007&sort=0The two follow a creepily similar pattern but, June marked the first time people were searching more for Jess then they were for LG. ETA 2: Ok, I promise this will be my last chart, but lets see how LG is doing against another big online show that has its own website, like Ask A Ninja. Ask A Ninja vs Lonelygirl15 2007. www.google.com/trends?q=ask+a+ninja%2C+lonelygirl15&ctab=0&geo=all&date=2007&sort=0Looks like the ninja will continue to look forward to killing LG later.
