I am sure many of you have seen this. Apparently the whole LG15 thing is becoming quite the nexus of media attention, and it looks like Jessica's popularity is rubbing off well on her friends as well.
Here's a bit from our favourite cane-wielding Norwegian on her MySpace:
Now, I know I haven't been exactly kind to him after watching his demo reel, but I thought what the hey and checked out his MySpace.
To my surprise, the guy seems to be actually quite cool. He's posted some engaging and quite witty blog entries and appears to sport an attitude that is really quite disarming. Maybe there should be talk like a Viking day too, ja?

Would you care to give us a summary of the articles? I can piece together some parts being German, but I cannot make it out with any certainty. The headlines seem pretty sensationalist. Also, you might like to add them to the press room thread under International Media. Thank you

nice little AP media clip you found there lurker15 *exalt*
and who is on the norwegian translation team? what is that suspicious "sexslaven" on the school project excerpt?
I did add a thread on these media links on the LG15 in the press thread. it can be consolidated into the international press thread next time we do that.

You are right in that the headlines are a bit sensationalist. I am from sweden but I can try to translate some of what Thor says.
The first article begins by providing some background information and then points out that Thor knew all along who LG15 was because he went to NYFA with her. "-That this has become so big is totally incredible, and of course great for her. I talked to Jessica on the phone yesterday [probably he means october 14th], and then she seemed [hørtes?] quite overwhelmed by all the interest around her, says Knai."
Further down in the article: "Knai and Rose acted together in several demo films when they were in film school. - Rose is very cute and straightforward, and absolutely has a talent. It is always fun to hang out with her, says Knai". "- I can't further say anything about what I know about the LonelyGirl15 project, but it is obviously great to answer questions about things we have done previously"
The second article has the sensationalist headline "Spilte Lonelygirls sexslave" which means "Played Lonelygirls sexslave". The important thing to note is that Thor doesn't use the word "sexslave" in the interview, it is probably a word made up by the reporter.
"Thor Knai confirms to Side2 that he and Jessica went in the same class, and that they were good friends. - The videos you ask about, were recorded in the timespan between september last year and april this year. In one of the student films the plot is that she has a "menage-a-troi" with me and a roommate. In another film I come to her for a jobinterview, and I get drugged and ends up in a fantasyworld. After that her character uses me, says Thor". - It seems like films that are a bit on the edge? - He, he. They have a bit of an erotic undertone, but it is not any worse than that, assures Thor"
The rest of the article is not so interesting. In the last scene in the video clip from the school project(s) it seems like Jessica is about to undress, I wonder how the film continues after that. ^^ (The text in the clip: "Her spiller Thor sexslaven til Lonelygirl" means "Here Thor is playing Lonelygirls sexslave")
[Apologies for my rather crappy (I am sure) translation, and for my not-so-good english. Thanks for copying my previous post to the media thread, I leave it up to you if you also want to copy my translation]

Great, thanks for providing that input. It's also kinda what I read from it, but German is not as similar as Swedish is ... and I din't want to write anythig outrageously wrong Just watched the video ... cheesy to say the least. Well, tabloid press never fails to deliver.

Yeah I agree Side2 is being a bit cheesy in their article about those student films. Makes you wonder though who wrote the scripts for the films.
One part of me wants to see those student films, together with "Dearly Beloved" to be able to judge how good her acting skills are. I find it hard to make up my mind about that just from watching the lg15 videos.

Well, I think she might not be the greatest drama actress yet, although the 'In The Park' was pretty convincing.
However, I really think Jessica has a unique comedic talent. Not just the random quirkiness. Real humour is all about the timing, and with that clip from today she really made me chuckle.
I think she would be great in something witty, you know intelligent quirky humour.

I would have loved to have seen her in her production of faulty towers.
There is one dramatic moment in the series so far where I was impressed with her acting ability. It is the very first shot of Boy Problems. She gives a very complex, ambiguous look, expressing simultaneously many emotions, yet it is difficult to name just what she is feeling at that moment. It actually reminded me of something from an old Renoir film.

Thor may need quite a bit more practice with doing drama in English, but his "soldier" sequence in his native Norwegian was affecting. The silly mock interview about his film project showed pretty awesome grasp of comic timing, too.
And, you know. There's the pretty. Pretty! Pretty Thor!
