Check the new www.lonelygirl15.com site. Bottom right, in the usual greek letters, just like Crowley would had liked it.

Yeah, and you can also see the hexagram just above it. This is pretty blatant. I wonder why the Darby reference, though?

Someone's pointed out that the Darby reference is to Crowley father. Also, I've just posted in the Lovecraftian thread about the Typhonian O.T.O. and their interest in Cthulu.

These people haven't done much research.
Bogus Thelema that bears no resemblance to any Thelema anyone practices complete with ridiculous Crowley altar, bogus "purity bond" (or whatever the hell she called it), strict parents, summer camps, rituals parents can't attend and languages no one has spoken in ages.
Nonsense. Garbage. Silly.
These people are making Thelema look silly with their misrepresentation.

Why is the site still shown as a fan site? We all know it is the 'offical' site. I think they need to make it a site by the team.

These people haven't done much research. Nonsense. Garbage. Silly. I agree. This is pretty shoddy. Maybe they only picked up the Thelema idea by the posts they saw? Either way, what they portray bears no resemblence to the religion. They even contradict the core ethic. How lame. They should just go with a fictional religion (inspired by whatever). This heavy-handed pentagram Crowley Thelema thing impresses the people in the Bible Belt maybe, but nobody who can do minimal research themselves. Which is like anybody who can google

Hahaha, she is NOT part of the A.:.A.:.! What a sickening and foul slur on the faith to include their symbol. I am no longer going to watch the videos, this is abusing a faith for the God of Currency.
I hope Crowley finds his own particular way of taking a percentage.

who cares, they misrepesent all kinds of religions all the time. i surely don't want to be educated about thelema, and i hope thelemites aren't such a bunch of prissies with sticks up their ass that they'll get all offended.
in my opinion, if you choose to belong to some obscure religion/cult where most people obviously will have misconceptions and wrong associations, tough luck, don't start whining (except of course you're doing it for attention anyway, as alot of "modern satanists" seem to be doing). you believe what you believe, and shouldn't care about what other people think. same's for mainstream religions of course, and any aspect of one's life, i guess.

Marmoset, I am not a Thelemite. I am offended when an area of the occult with the subject matter of OTO, Traditional Satanism, Vodun, even witchcraft is displayed wantonly as an advertising gimmick to a very young set of people.
It is not responsible at all! This exact kind of behaviour leads to younger people having no facts, leaping into the darker areas to rebel, and causing a whole slew of people to react to that by saying the actual occultists are causing this.
I would much rather they made up a tradition and followed with a hokey horror plot.
Edited to add: If this series were not portrayed as real from the outset I doubt I would find it so ridiculous. Then it is lighthearted thriller fiction. But the 'shrine', ritual, etc IS portrayed as real to a group of very young watchers who have responded to 'Bree'.

I agree with tempestarii. If they were going to use Thelema, they should had done their homework. Why? Because their main public would be internet fan people who can certanly do research to find how many holes they have. If they wanted creative freedom, they could had done an effort and come up with a created cult, put it up on wikipedia and some made up websites.

Well, let's hope it's not as simple as that. Possibly the Thelema link and image are just a diversion. To give people something to do, like research and discuss it. I still have hopes that they took the less lacklustre approach of creating their own religion/cult.
And I wholeheartedly agree with Temp that it is irresponsible to present such a young (and obviously gullible) audience with warped representation of a real religion. Especially under the guise of something that they might perceive as cool and worthy of adding to their repertoire of non-adult decipherable interests and activities.
