I thought that was boring ol' christianity? It is? I wouldn't know. I guess, even though I'm a Christian, I'm not under the same denomination or whatnot that has such a thing.

Hmm well I think sex before marriage is a common belief amoungst strict English Christians. I am not religious and take little interest in the subject so could be wrong.

Whats the difference newone? I would assume if you are *against* sex before then you also believe in no sex before marriage. Right?

"I'm looked through some of the evidence below about what Bree's religion might be (not including the Crowley stuff.) She mentions a "purity bond" with her parents.
Who can find out what a "purity bond" is and what relgion(s) use it? It's not something you can find in google."-Milowent The only kind of purity bond I've ever heard of is one where you agree not to have sex before marriage. I don't know what religion that comes from, if any, though. The most famous of these is 'The Silver Ring Thing' - which funnily enough was one of the first things that came to mind while watching Poor Pluto and its numerous references to 'rings' edit: sorry I should have provided a reference : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Silver_Ring_Thing

well the "no sex before or outside of marriage" thing is common to ALL Christian denominations. it is mentioned repeatedly throughout the Bible (ie. repeated warnings against fornication and adultery)
it is also a big factor in both judaism and islam.

This is my first post and I am new to the LG15 saga(aka game) But much of this does seem similar to research I have done on Crowley's Argenteum Astrum, or the A.A. or as funny as it seems the C.A.A. . I am almost positive that is just a happenstance however much of the ritual in the A.A does require the learning of dead languages. Also it contains almost playlike dramatic scenes. (Summer camp fun?) Where this seems to fall apart is that the A.A. is secrteive and said to only be taught from intructor to student. Anyu thought's I admit I am no Crowley expert.

Not sure that it makes any difference at all, but as this morning, Jessica Rose's religion listed on her myspace is "agnostic". Having let in a ton of new friends talking about the lg15 phenom, could this be a clue? Of course, it could just be her religous choice with no other meaning.

Has no one mentioned the official LG15 page has the 'thelema' logotype? (down in the bottom to the right, in greek letters) It also has several thelema symbols, like the star that's on the blue upper part.
Thelema is a greek word, and crowley often used it with the greek letters to show where it came from.

The 'star' is the unicursal hexagram and was used by the Golden Dawn, later adopted by Crowley and seen on his Thoth deck. It is a planetary sigil originally but for the life of me I cannot recall which planet....Saturn, Jupiter, something like that.
The symbols in the website were mentioned in the "Thelema. Confirmed" thread and we can thank cassiefan and molly for noticing so swiftly.

I may be mistaken, but I believe the symbology of the unicursal hexagram is the same as the traditional ("Jewish") hexagram - as above, so below.
The point behind it was that it can be drawn in one continuous single line ("unicursal" is an algebreic phrase meaning "that can be passed over in a single course"), while the traditional involves breaking stroke. Unicursal gestures are preferred in rituals.
