one of the things she was complaining about was that LG had a video set to autoplay on her profile, and not everyone had that power. YouTube did some maintenance last night and it looks like everybody's profile video autoplays now.

YouTube did some maintenance last night and it looks like everybody's profile video autoplays now. yep, it seems to be automatic autoplay. i tried to add the autoplay code to my selected video URL a few days ago (cutting and pasting from the lonelygirl15 channel's to make sure i got it right) and it wouldn't work. now it seems to be autoplay without the need for any such code. thus, anybody who wants to up their views on a video really needs to choose a featured video for their channel. channels that get a lot of views now have another advantage.

It also appears that everyone has a featured video on their channel now. I'm not sure it's optional anymore.

Man, I hate this change. The big thing that YouTube had going for, what made it different than Revver or Google video, was the comment system. Making people have to view the videos on a page where you could comment I think encouraged people to comment. I know I always enjoy a new comment on a video far more than just seeing my view count jump.
It is still optional, it is just on by default now. You can turn it off using the channel design options.

she certainly had read the phorum threads, i exchanged youtube emails just to make sure she wasn't go off the deep end for real. she seems pretty aware of how the vids came across, she can live with it. I was thinking about how youtube shows all the sites that link to the video. I suppose more than one youtuber has stumbled over here to see what we're saying about them, eh? Not that they know the site, but if they're paying attention they're sure to see whenever it's linked here right? Hmm...If I plan on being really critical, maybe I need a more anonymous handle?

The 'links' stat on YouTube videos only refers to where the video is embedded and not just places that link to the url.

I find her videos really really disturbing.

Imo we are not seeing her personality right now, more her hatred for someone. I would be very interested to see her videos where she is rambling on about her life.
The lady seems to display something I hate to see happen to vloggers. It is all starts nicely with
"I am bored, I am just going to reach out to people, amuse myself and speak about issues relevant to me. One subscriber would be awesome. I really don't want to be well known or famous."
Within weeks it is
"I need more subscribers! Why aren't you watching me!? This vlogger <name> and <name> are rubbish, pathetic. WATCH AND SUBSCRIBE TO ME, I NEED FAME"
One subscriber is not good enough, neither is 5, 10, 15, etc. Their personality falls by the wayside in the race to bash others and be seen. I have seen this happen a few times and it shows how easily some people will sell out.

I've come across a certain blogger (because he responds to LG15 videos sometimes) who literally would reprimand and scream at his watchers every couple of videos for NOT ENOUGH SUBSCRIBERS.
I mean come on, I understand the desire for them, but to be that neurotic about it? It's weird.

Hye: You tease! Who is this blogger? I want to see him scream for attention Maybe one could nudge the breakdown by subscribing one week and unsubscribing the next, ad nauseum. Can you imagine their little eyeballs popping at that?

she's posted another one; she talks about the phorum and the locking of the thread discussing her there. its fairly clear she enjoys getting attention over this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bqlk-CSw-hU

Why does she insist having 9:59 videos? I bet if there wasn't a limit she'd just keep talking on and on and on. No need to keep fueling this attention whore. I mean I'm kind of sad, because the whole reason she's so insane about LG is because she wants attention like her... and now she's getting that attention and so keeps running with it. The whole thing's weird, there's no way I'm wasting 10 minutes watching this nut.
