www.northshoretimes.com.au/article/2006/11/22/2213_news.html
Sooo Does this sound like a familiar scenario....
"Miss Photogenic went to NSW's Tara Rushton, 19, while the Miss Congeniality award, voted by all of the contestants, was shared by Sylvie Ghazal, 24, and Saskia Boerma, 20, both from NSW.
Note: Due to major organizational difficulties, the organizers of the Miss World Australia Pageant declared bankruptcy shortly after the pageant. Many parties who offered services to the pageant were left unpaid, and angry contestants were not given the prizes they were promised. That includes Olivia Stratton, who was left with with only a couple of weeks to prepare for Miss World and no sponsorship to do it with. Many designers pitched in to help her out for her wardrobe. The license for Miss World in Australia will be re-assigned for 2004.
