Wondered what some intelligent people would make of this... news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6759717.stmFeel sorry for the bloke really. If he was a bank robber who was released from prision there wouldn't be a problem. He has done his crime, and has been punished accordingly, in what was considered an appropriate manner. He has been unfairly booted off 'just because' his crime is a political hot point. It is a good vote winner for those in charge, the public like this sort of thing. I'm not saying that what he did wasn't bad and/or wrong, but feel he has been unfairly punished for a 2nd time.

i don't see a link to the video there, wixy.
sounds like a sad story all around. we really don't know the underlying details of his crime, but child molestation type charges always sicken me. i wonder in these cases what really happened, and if the offender pleaded guilty to a lesser charge to get rid of the thing. in that case, its sucks for them because they can NEVER get away from it.
if i was running one of these shows, i would make sure the submission form required people to disclose anything like this. then you boot them for lying.

sorry milo, see above now. starts at about 2min that cracked me up. and i know simon cowell's british and all, but it was weird seeing him with those other judges i've never seen before. and simon is really hating this guy, while voting "yes" to other so-so acts that he would utterly destroy on American Idol. --- I really hate to say this, but doesn't he kinda have that molester look about him?

Milo: The lady is an actress primarily famous for having an affair while she was married to a comedian. He later went on our Big Brother and lost it a bit. The other man is a very very famous newspaper editor who was sacked. Funny man and pulls no punches, he currently writes a column about his experiences in America, good friends with Cowell. He speaks a lot with Gordon Brown and had true clout in politics and media. ***************** It is so dreadful when one allegation can ruin a man's life. I don't know the details on this so innocent until proven guilty, but what springs to mind with Wixy's post is how teachers can have one girl allege an incident and even when the girl admits she lied, career over, death threats, etc. I do not think he should have to step down from the competition unless he was convicted of molestation and/or rape. Anyways, that man is very funny. I was on a movie forum today which has some really angry and intense ongoing threads about how the Jeepers Creepers director was once in prison for making a child actor suck his cock while filming it. People have been in a tizzy looking for sexual content in the Jeepers Creepers films. You know, so what that you see adult male torsos in the films? No one EVER complains when a very young looking woman or women bounce around topless. Some male critics had a bitchfest when 300 came out about the men being nearly naked, I do not recall one of them complaining about the scores of hookers in Sin City, or Jessica Alba in chaps. I did not either but lets be fair about it. Sorry, threadjack over

I really hate to say this, but doesn't he kinda have that molester look about him? lol, I've said that about WAY too many people. also, Temp, doesn't the fact that he's on the sex offender register mean he's been convicted? Although, I think you can get on the register for statuatory(sp?) rape. Like, a level1, right? And I totally agree with you about the double standard in nudity and modesty. I don't know if people would have made quite a big deal of it (jeepers creepers) if the director hadn't behaved as he did. I've always taken the hollywood double standard as just another way the man keeps us ladies down. Men rule hollywood, and men want to see boobies.

don't hurt your organ:yzhongbao.spaces.live.com/mmm2007-06-06_11.36/#ControversyContestant Richard Bates claimed he quit the ITV show after injuring himself in an accident with his electric organ, but in fact the Lancashire Police force had contacted producers to inform them that he was listed on the Sex Offenders Register following an unspecified offence committed in December 2005.[3][4] On 16 June (the last semi-final show), Drag Queens the Kit Kat Dolls were disqualified after the News of the World claimed three of the members were prostitutes.[5] ---- evil foot ticklerwww.dailystar.co.uk/news_detail.html?sku=1866But a source said: “Richard would have been removed from the register in July. “He always maintained that all he did was tickle a boy’s feet. “He was never barred from going near kids. He is gutted his chance of stardom has been ruined.”
