i pictured hye wiping tears from his eye during tonight's final episode. it wasn't a bad ending though. the last song played on the gilmore girls was "inside out" by the mighty lemon drops. 1988. www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXbt6Kskx-QAn odd choice since (1) its a 19 year old song, (2) it was never very big, especially in the U.S. I remember buying this album on tape in high school when it came out and showing it to my assistant manager at work. He flipped out: "the mighty lemon drops? what kind of f**** name for a band is that!" he liked tesla.

Haha there were no tears at the end. Probably because it ended so much like a regular moment between them. It was a little tear jerkery rather early on during the early times of her getting to news she'd be leaving really soon, mainly the ironing scene. I didn't really like using this song as the last thing, I think there could have been nicer ones used, but I think based on what we know about the Lorelai character this was her kind of music and what she grew up with, so that probably had something to do with it. The YouTube page calls it jangle pop, and she loves the bangles... so it rhymes! Watching this made me want to make a thread about the possibly impending lg15 episode (I'm still not sure if they are going to follow through on their promise that this show will go on "forever", even without Bree, or if this continuation will be embodied in KateModern picking up next, though frankly I don't think that's the case. KateModern is aimed at a different audience, being promoted on a UK site, and I don't see it as continuing LG. I think even though Miles will be away for a month organizing it, he said he's going to be setting people up over there and presumably they, not him, will run it. While he's gone Greg and Amanda will upload the already-made videos, we know they were able to film for a month in the past when Jessica had to do a movie for that whole time. So- long tangent- but if LG was actually going to end soon, what do you see as a good final episode? Personally I'd want it to be poignant like the GG, but not quite sure what it'd be like? I guess they'd separate from Jonas in it and she'd thank DB for all he's done for her, and perhaps give him a Luke-Lorelai style kiss, though as we've cautioned on-camera kissing would be LAME! Unless they did something funny like Jonas handling the camera and said something funny and help shy the camera away from them, but overall I wouldn't like that as an ending. What would be better? And (not that they have the rights) but what do you think if GG used one of the GG trademark la-la-las? hahaha: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXlyA-dYlio
