It took a while to kick in, but finally the Terryfic effect has propelled B2.0 to the YouTube fame it deserves. Last time I looked this video was 5th or so most discussed and I am predicting that the majority of the B2.0 vids will end up pretty high on that list. If they get enough subscribers they might even end up becoming a YouTube parter. Wouldn't that be something.
I can still remember chatting in IRC with John sometime last year about him wanting to start a vlog or some kind of YouTube channel, but he didn't think there was an audience interested in intelligent humor - after all who can blame him with Smosh leading the charts. I tried to point out that I had parodied a light comic opera (failing to mention that the majority of my viewers thought the song was from Animaniacs instead of G&S) and that had received high praise. Well, whatever finally sold him on the idea, I'm glad he did it. And I'm even more glad that it has become the hit it always deserved to be. I guess, despite the popularity of Smosh, there is some hope for YouTube after all.

Remember when we thought there was hope for YouTube with LG15? The Animaniacs was one of the best cartoons of the 80's and 90's, with much subversive intelligence on display. What the world really needs is more G&S. Both my sons and I have appeared in G&S operas.
