I mentioned recently that the 2nd Vuguru produced show (that's Eisner who backed Prom Queen) will be the All-For-Nots, created by the folks behind the Burg.
So, here is information about the Burg:
website: www.theburg.tv/
and myspace: www.myspace.com/theburgtv
the show (which doesn't have a wikipedia page, probably thanks to jayhenry) follows the trials and tribulations of indie hipsters in williamsburg brooklyn. (the new cool place to live in New York City).
Here is a listing of the episodes:
www.theburg.tv/Episodes/
There is a series of longer episodes, which I believe were done first (13-19 minutes each), and a series of shorts and shorter episodes (a story arc called the "secret").
Here is the sites own chronology:
In late 2005, we decided to do an internet sitcom about Williamsburg.
In early 2006, we wrote, cast and shot a few episodes. We were told we were mad to attempt an episodic series longer than three minutes on the internet. In June 2006 we debuted, and within one week had been mentioned in national blogs and press including the New York Times. (Milo adds: This was Virginia Heffernan, NY Times - June 30, 2006)
Since then we've posted one season and are soon beginning the second.
---
i personally have watched the 1st two episodes so far (Cred-awhile ago, and Myspace) and found them pretty funny.
a few eps and shorts are also on youtube:
www.youtube.com/user/theburgshow
one of the vids (the "90s" episode) has a decent 153,000 views, but based on a few comments, it may have had a loading problem for people (like "naive girl" did for lg15), causing artificially inflated views. generally the offerings here just have a few thousand views apiece.
