There are several IRC client software.. Some of you might prefer to use Xchat instead of Mirc since it's simpler and more user friendly. 1- Dowload at www.xchat.org/files/binary/win32/xchat-2.6.9b.exe2- Run the installer, default options are ok so just click "next" button until it's over and then click "Finish" 3- A small window opens, choose a nickname and enter it on "Nick Name:" field. On "Networks" list find "Freenode" and select it. Click on "Connect" 4- A bigger window opens (The program window) and the connection process begins.. You'll see a lot of text lines on your screen.. Don't pay attention to them, they are just a wellcome message. 5- Depending on your network settings it can take several seconds to connect, even a minute or so.. Don't panic:It's normal. 6- Once connected a small window will pop-up asking you what you want to do now that you are connected. Select option 2 "Join This Channel:" and AFTER the "#" you need to enter ANCHORCOVE. Press "Ok" 7- You should be in the chat now. There are several options but I wont bother you with them. This will get you in the chat right away.

Where is everybody???!! I went to DC for a couple of weeks in October and since I've been back there is NO ONE logged in to chat. I'm slowly turning into a "lurker"... (snif, snif). I miss you guys!

There's usually at least someone in chat from 7pm through about midnight; last night we sort of pooped out a bit early I suppose.
Looking forward to seeing you again! Yay! Intrigued!

Since Chat has died down the past couple weeks we thought we would try an experimental Official Chat Night. Join us every Wednesday night at 10pm EST in our chat room (#anchorcove on FreeNode) you can access it via your favourite IRC software (see the above posts for details) or use our java web client. Everyone is welcome.

It was boy's night out at the Better Bree Inn yesterday. My first chat experience and a pleasant one, indeed. We had visits by famous authors (John "An Abundance of Katherines In Your Pants"Green), famous actors (Brother Joseph AT), famous architects (me), famous monkeys, famous rock stars, famous Canadians, famous Washingtonians, and a whole lot more. We were rancerous, funny, and jolly good company if I don't say so myself. I had the full chat experience, answers to questions that got jumbled in the bitstream (with hilarity ensuing), personal insights into the high octane world of writing, vlogging, travel, and horror flicks. We also learned about the entire story arc of LG15 (we are all sworn to secrecy). Too bad you missed it, I missed some too, I had to go to bed just as Brother Joseph was describing an underwater dream sequence with pink herrings. Wednesday Chat, be there or be square. FLWright PS We needed some famous women too.

Now there's a GoogleAd for Lost informing of us of that very information here at the cove. Coincidence? I think not.
