I think this is along the lines of what everyone else has said, but: It'd be great if there was a "read this first" thing not just for newbies, but for each of us when we woke up every morning. It could have the chat-URL stickied to the top and any big news in news posts (with the date on it or something).
Does that make any sense at all?

Ok two little things that you might or might not be able to add.
1. Links to the subject, forum etc at the bottom of the page. It should be exactly the same as the one at the top e.g. "Lonelygirl 15 discussion. :: Announcements :: Announcements :: Suggestions!!" A bit annoying having to scroll to the top of the page to link backwards again.
2. Like on the old forum, a little symbol that indicates which posts are new on the choosen thread. It seems that there there is an icon when there are new posts on a thread, however once that thread is opened no definition is made between read and unread posts.
These are point about the user-friendly aspect of the board rather than content. I am unaware if you have power to implement these changes but would be happy to see them included, makes browsing that much simplar.
Enjoying the new board so far but am begging to wonder if it is 'too' split up.
Cheers, Thanks & Well Done Wixy

Wixy,
Free boards do not usually offer the ability to make a custom header.php with links or adding modifications.

I second mettle's "read this first" idea which I interpret as a "This Just In..." Thread. Perhaps the "This Just In..." could be just for headlines like "New Video", "Virginia's Cassie Audio", etc., and a moderator could then link the headline to the appropriate category/subcategory for further discussion.
Mettle totally made sense, but did I?

You didn't-- I don't think what you want me to do is possible...
If Terry can figure it out he's more than welcome to tell me how. XD
Unless I just make one announcement thread in the announcement forum and set it to show up at the top of everyone's page, but not let anyone post in it but Staff...
hmmm....

*sigh* Okay, thanks...I knew I wasn't making sense.
Here's a second try:
1) There's a category under Annoucements called 'Late Breaking News' or something like that... 2) All late breaking news on the Overall LG15 story is posted there first by the news-breaker as a headline 2a) then or at the same time the news-breaker poster says they are moving discussions to certain categories, subcategories 2b) or, a moderator replies to the breaking news by noting the news "will now be discussed in theories [or religion or somesuch thing]"
or not.

Hmmm.. that seems a little complicated. Why not just put the breaking news in its appropriate forum in the first place?

I implimented something SORT of like it-- links to threads that are important in any given day. Newone is going to help me with new material to update with every day. <3

The more I look over the MASSIVE amounts of theories and information...the more I wonder if a forum called "Discarded Theories" might not be a bad idea.
There are also things that I keep wanting to bring up ('cause my mind is pretty random)...and I'm not sure where they should go..and I hate to go for Miscellaneous. I dunno - when an idea is not a full-fledged "theory" - maybe a forum for "brainstorming" might be nice - and then the the threads could be moved if fleshed out well enough later?

If its a theory of yours you can post it in theories I dont think a theory will EVER be completely discarded as we can never agree but if I see something coming up a lot that needs a forum I will add one!
