Instead of 4 separate threads I figure we can just make one for these four fun vids --- I would have been happier if they had just been one longer vid. I have to go - bebo.com/watch/4583838156Salt or sweet? - bebo.com/watch/4584324059Dizzy Rascals - bebo.com/watch/4584659449Creep or unique? - bebo.com/watch/4584871069----------------------------------------------- I hope they are paying attention to the views for these videos (I can't see them Grrrrr) but releasing many videos in one day will not always excite your audience, it can also frustrate it. I think the Prom Queen model of one a day at a set time is the best so far.

I think Sniffer took a cue from the 12in12 finale for these as far as the release timing. I think this would have had more views on a weekday or an evening (probably was in the afternoon/evening the UK)... Still, the vids were well done and the chemistry those two have is pretty darn good. Again, the comparison with the LG attempts at "romantic comedy" is glaring. Loved the realism of "I Have to Go", DB drank like a fish and never had to "go". I have no doubt that these were Sniffer vids, for those of you playing Who Shot What Vid... --- prior cg post re one of the 4: Gavin said... If the person who i bought the alarm from is watching... I want a refund! This is not a joke. www.bebo.com/FlashBox.jsp?FlashBoxId=4583838156________________________________________________________________ Initial report, from an "insider" who was at the event, is that it was "mental" at Carnaby St. today. LG15blogspot has spoilers if you want to read them. Fans are going to be uploading vids soon.

Perhaps the c's really do need to just give up on learning to do tech right and let the experts (Bebo tech squad) do that for them.

Jordy says"I Completely agree" Seriously,This was a marked change in dealing with the whole fanfic/interaction thingy, I think that MGM have realized that they cant do it all themselves and are dealing directly with the BIG Boys now, This is a small but very significant landmark for the C's in which there is an obvious realisation on there part that maybe there is no point in trying to re-invent the wheel, It is just a hunch but I suspect Bebo's team recognized the fact that collaboration was the way forward and have capitalized on this,But are using the C's creativity as a figurehead to front the whole project, I was impressed by the smoothness of delivery AND the fact that they"allowed" the fans to beat them to the net in terms of posting eye witness accounts/responses before the actual "Sophie" vid was released,Circa 3 Hrs later This makes for a much more taught and cohesive dialogue between fans and fiction, I think the biggest change was in the timing whereby they actually relinquished some control over events all be it in a staged manner,IE:The C's called the play/action,stood back and then allowed the fans to make the play, This for me is a Rubicon in terms of what they promised all along, Or am I stating the bleeding obvious? An analogy would be... "Let the Cooks cook but let the Waiters serve!"

Sorry to disagree but they were all filmed in Psuedo/real time and posted independently as the dialogue progressed......No Flaming Phorumites here!,they were all in there beds..Bless Em!..This is a very different kettle of fish, We were interacting as the vids arrived and responded to them individually, the characters were all online as we were posting and receiving replies from them,In and out of Character, which I may say gets a bit confusing but It's a start, AND No chat room crashes-this "thing" actually works for a change. Oh and Gavin and Charlie getting it together was a class move,

omg, I actually liked these videos!
I think this series (and LG) is at its best when 1) it's not on its Order plot, and 2) when not trying too hard to be amusing. For instance, I could care less that they are trapped in an office while something bad is going to happen to Kate (because I still don't understand why they're so sure), yet I am really amused by them spinning around in their chairs. I also didn't like Charlie's "Sangas" video back when that came out, but these were just laid back enough. They were funny and seemed to come naturally.

We were interacting as the vids arrived and responded to them individually, the characters were all online as we were posting and receiving replies from them,In and out of Character, which I may say gets a bit confusing but It's a start. I think it is an interesting idea, but ultimately one that will be nothing more then a gimmicky one to me. Yes having them post through out the day is more realistic, and it allows for interfakeion, but for the casual average viewer it is a hassle. There is a mantra in game design: fun > realism. When I saw there was four videos released today I almost just skipped them all as I don't want to have to watch 4 vids in one day. Even though the sum amount of video footage might be equal to one long one, it is just the idea that I am 4 episodes behind. Once people find the story moving faster then they can keep up with they will just let it go on without them. Of course if they are content with only the niche audience of hardcore viewers then they are doing fine. But Nintendo and the Wii has made if far too abundantly clear that there is a massive market of people that only want to approach their entertainment causally. Also on the topic of there not being any technical glitches compared to LG I think it is important to keep the relative audiences in mind. On YouTube LG has 100,348 subscribers, on Bebo KM has 10,816 - that is almost a factor of 10 and to put it into further perspective 10,816 subscribers would not place KM anywhere on the YT top subscriber list, not even at the back of the 7th page. I'm not saying it wasn't good that nothing crashed, but this was a considerably smaller wave of viewers smashing upon their virtual ramparts.

omg, I actually liked these videos! ... <snip> I agree. I liked these ones, they were quirky and the acting was really natural. I know they are pushing and pushing for the "big bad supervillan," aka: The Order, storyline but I like episodes like this much better. If only the British version of The Order doesn't turn out to be so oafish and laughable comical like the LG one, and they continue with episodes along the same line, ie. natural, more realistic, and allowing a better glimpse at the characters - and I do mean characters, not stereotypes! Some of the "Aussiness" they've given Charlie makes me cringe a bit. When she mentioned Kath and Kim in the episode before these, I wanted to do a forehead slap! Okay, it is a cool Aussie show, but it really served no purpose for her to say that other than to name drop so as to prove her "Australianess". Let her be a character first, and an Aussie second, please! I think KM could really work if they just don't make it so utterly ridiculous the way LG has gone, and if they remember to give the characters just as much importance as the plot. Because for a while there LG had nothing that was really strongly character driven, and the 'characters' really only served as little parts of the plot - chopping and changing to suit it. If they intend on make vlog style episodes, they have to know that it is the characters that draw us in more than anything else.
