I liked this video as an individual unit, but I'm worried about where it will bring the series. Okay, that's not a reasonable worry. It's already pretty incoherent, but still......

What does the 101 in the title *mean*? Maybe it's just in the U.S. and not even everywhere in the U.S. but college courses have a number code after them like History 220 or Poli Sci 300. Basically, the higher the number, the more of an advanced course it is. 101 would be an introductory class. So somewhere along the line "101" took the meaning of "basic" or "for beginners" So Interrogation 101 would be Interrogation "for beginners." edit to add: and it's specifically pronounced "one oh one"

Which is of course a far too whimsical and totally inappropriate title for Daniel to choose to give this video.
I think the show is headed in down a very bad path. Not because I don’t want to watch a show that deals with more serious issues, but because in order to do that you really have to up the bar all around. A show that is light hearted and fun is a lot easier to write and perform without it coming off as cheesy. Trying to do serious drama is very difficult. There is a reason why all the quality drama along these lines comes from HBO. Everyone involved in this production is fairly new at it and they seem to be heading in a direction that is rarely done well.

There's nothing in the 101, wixy.
The serious drama began the day that Bree's parents were kidnapped. Up until then, Bree and Daniel had drama, but no one was really getting seriously hurt. Ironically "On The Run" was one of my favorite videos, because I thought they might be up to the challenge of this new story, and the new direction was exciting. Instead, it got increasingly unbelievable. I felt a similar effect with "The Human Ransom." Again we saw a leap forward in style and a seeming new direction for the show, only for it to backfire as subsequent episodes floundered in the logic department. So I think you're right Terry. It may be that they get some very ambitious story ideas, then find they don't have the production to back them up. Bit off more than they could chew.

There's nothing in the 101, wixy. I guess it was obvious yet too subtle at the same time. We don't see to get subtley anymore.

my friends form across the lake (and you lurking up north waiting to pounce- I am watchng you!) 101 is indeed a very widely accepted numerical code for begginner clases at most colleges

Wow, I leave for a day and LG15 turns into a detention camp? On it's own this was a pretty good vid but in the story it seems like they are painting themselves into a petty tight corner here. If Jonas isn't a bad guy and it turns out to be a 'misunderstanding' and they go back to being buds after this...words cannot express other than the new words Jonas apparently has learned.
